  1. I was in my early 20's for that one. Was out in it of course! It was daytime start that went into the evening. One and only time in my life I saw and heard thundersnow.
  2. There’s a dusk to Dawn flood on the back corner of the house -2 windows in the bedroom so the flakes shine. Even though not a huge nighttime snow person, it’s pretty cool to just lay here and watch. Nothing here yet.
  3. '94 definitely once in a lifetime. Hope I don't see another. I worked for an Oil Co back then. It was complete insanity. Customer's pipes froze from the outages, the owner was buying every 4 wheel pick up he could find and putting tanks in the back and spikes on the guy's feet to get the fuel delivered. Roads and driveways were too much for the big trucks. Salesman became service techs, and we became a 24/7 operation and it took us weeks to get everyone back in heat. Our phones were so busy, people were calling the police and they would come to the office and give us their service request. Never again. Some homes that endured no heat for weeks, finally getting the pipes thawed, only to then be taken out again from the flooding Brandywine due to the ice jams.
  4. 34 and back to pancake size flakes.
  5. If that verifies it will give me more than the 6" we got here during a 4 day storm! LOL Can't make this stuff up. Everyone needs a pasting, lots and lots of melting today.
  6. It was nice to see some flakes this morning at 36d. There is much grass showing around here though. Hope Sunday works out.
  7. I will not get my hopes up, I will not get my hopes up, I will not get my hopes up, I will not get my hopes up. At least I don't see any sleet ! Will start will nothing, out to sea, or rain too far inland, to...........I won't get my hopes up!
  8. Spoke to a client in Iowa today. They're under blizzard warning for tomorrow. The whole state is blue or red as well as WI and part of NE. Anyway, I asked for an extension on the work I need to do there.
  9. We had flurries earlier down here in 6" land! LOL Allways nice to see a little snow on snow. Nothing right now.
  10. Thanks Agnes for the radars you always post! I'm at 34d here back to a light snow. We'll have this all afternoon? That low is crawling.
  11. Right, there will be a HUGE difference once the final totals are in. At least we managed another inch this morning. Back to flurries and getting brighter out there.
  12. Animal never said "widespread" just for the record. I'm sorry he feels that way, and sorry I get amused at a vent thread turning into a lecture. Still have light snow and think my area will end up around the 6" mark by the end of the day. Some people, in my opinion, should be allowed to call that a bust. I'm happy to see the snow, anytime and anyhow I can get it. I decided to work remotely again today because I don't want to go out in it. At least is was enough to plow. Barely, LOL. Onto the next one.
  13. There’s always a screw zone. I thought this might happen and tried to keep the 6-9 inch as my expectation. Had all that sleet been snow very well could have went over. Sleet is the worst!! Still have flurries. I may have picked up close to a whole inch over night. Can’t tell yet, too dark.
  14. Despite what the radar looks like now that the sun is down, still have light snow here with an occasional gust. I’m just not in those inch or two per hour bands. Still nice to see especially if continues through morning!! Liking the duration even though I’m in the lower accumulation zone. Enjoy!
  15. I'm back to almost flurries after about 1.5 hrs. of snow. Attached the sun trying to come out. Weird storm and they just extended the WSW until 4pm tomorrow? Just saying the conditions I've experienced since yesterday has barely reached warning criteria.
  16. It's official, the sleet has ended here and have very light snow. YES! 30d. My head hurts!
  17. Still waiting for it! Light precip/mixed, mostly sleet still. Let me know when I should throw in the towel. Congrats LHV, northern NJ, and NYC
