  1. I was in my young 20's in 1983. That was the only blizzard where I experienced the thunder and lighting. In 1996 I watched with neighbors the Eagles lose @ Dallas 30-11 while all heck was breaking loose on the roads. Monday morning Gov. said only heating oil trucks were allowed to be out there. I worked for an oil company at the time. Going into work on Tuesday morning, I was loaded with some sand and a shovel in my car. I traveled the main highway and there were still huge drifts reducing the road to 1 lane, in multiple areas on Rte 202. It was nuts. Thanks for the video. It certainly is a blast from the past!!!! Still my favorite is the 2009-10. I can't recall the dates but we had back to back storms, one of which my location was under one of those death bands (as you call them). I was posting here at the time. It was intense, to say the least.
  2. Don't think I'll make 90 today either. Current temp is 87. DP 73.
  3. Part of an elected officials job is to ensure public safety. When a public area is under an evacuation order (which is temporary) they can cite you. How you conjure that into a violation of right to public assembly is well...……………...dumb. It's a weak argument. But I get it, let us know how you make out with that next time.
  4. Your run of the mill chasers doing it for the thrill of it-yes. Chasers that are going in for research purposes to further the science of meteorology, no. How to tell the difference? Have the local authorities permit of deny access to their locale. Ex: like a passport or needing a permit. It can be accepted or rejected based on credentials and abilities. I don't see where that infringes on your constitutional rights. When an area is placed under an evacuation order, it's just that temporary. tramadoc-----Thank you for your service!
