  1. Lost power for about 10 minutes. Not sure how long will hold up.
  2. Warning cancelled, trees are still again. Reminds me of Irene a little
  3. Agnes thanks for those radar shoots! Wind coming and going. One minute looks fine, next minute it is ripping rain and gusty. I turned the AC off for a minute til this band blows through. My sons room which is a spare room now -had an open window. Whoops
  4. Looks to be to my west a bit. Still here. LOL
  5. Intensity of the rain coming down has increased now. Here we go...…….
  6. Lower DE having some tornado warnings! I'll probably get something here later this morning.
  7. I think the sun will be out by lunch time! Literally no wind here, just rain. Models had it worse than I think it's going to be, however, I don't mind. Better safe than sorry.
  8. Will be a quicker hit it seems. ? Stay safe those of you at the shore-looking forward to your obs.
  9. Well, I'm considering working from home tomorrow. Even though my office is close by, I'm by myself now with no husband to rescue me in the event I get stuck-and just not knowing what could be happening at the house while I'm at the office. Should start drafting that email. You guys too?
  10. temp 86/dp 76/rh 72%. Disgusting despite the lower air temps today.
  11. Won’t have to water tonight. Made it right before it started. Coming down good. Screw it turned the ac on. I have breakers now unlike last year.
  12. I am only using a small window AC unit this year, and once you get into day 4 or 5 it's much harder for the thing to catch up... I am not running it while I'm at work. Even with the house closed up like a morgue, it was still 80 deg. in my living room at 9:30pm last night. It did reach 68-70 by the time I woke up this morning. I've lost several TV boxes and washing machines during storms, so I'm just going to count on being hot for a while tonight if I can't run AC during a storm. I do have a basement that is cooler and it's doing fairly well, haven't had to run the dehumidifier yet. Just cracked opened the small window and I am running a fan down there 24-7 Watering tomato plants every darn day! They are burning up.
  13. I was just checking in here to see about TS this afternoon and reading Hurricane's post coincided with my text message. LOL Hope all is well with everyone in the heat.
  14. Missed the high wind gusts down here. Had a few pea sized hail as it arrived- seems to be past me now. That front was moving. Wow!! to you folks up to the north of me.
  15. Brought the flag and the chair cushions in.
  16. WHAT...Southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph expected OK I'm getting SEwinds @ 28 and definitely gusting over 40-50mph. Just had 2 gusts where you can hear the windows whistling. At least it's warm should the power go out. Wow
  17. In this current cold windy spring I've seen flurries several times. Today was one, wonder if a few will make it this far down here tomorrow.
  18. We have partical sunshine here. 38degrees WNW @ 22 and gusting around 30. When I was out earlier judging by the branches down and trees swaying we definitely experienced higher gusts earlier. Will I see a flurry Sunday morning? We had brief white rain last Sunday afternoon and it sure looked nice. Gotta take any little bit
  19. Well if I can't have Dec snow I'll take 40's and sunny!! Cold winter's rain is really depressing. Did you guys catch the vid of the snow squall going over NYC yesterday? It was pretty cool. Last winter I believe was my 1st squall warning.
  20. Part of an elected officials job is to ensure public safety. When a public area is under an evacuation order (which is temporary) they can cite you. How you conjure that into a violation of right to public assembly is well...……………...dumb. It's a weak argument. But I get it, let us know how you make out with that next time.
  21. Your run of the mill chasers doing it for the thrill of it-yes. Chasers that are going in for research purposes to further the science of meteorology, no. How to tell the difference? Have the local authorities permit of deny access to their locale. Ex: like a passport or needing a permit. It can be accepted or rejected based on credentials and abilities. I don't see where that infringes on your constitutional rights. When an area is placed under an evacuation order, it's just that temporary. tramadoc-----Thank you for your service!
