  1. Big storm coming out by Tuesday that wasn't there at all at 12z. But likely a rainer here. Very warm in advance of it.
  2. Yep, 20 degrees warmer valley wide on Sunday on the Euro vs 12z. Instead of dropping snow here and turning into a noreaster it heads for Bermuda. So the cold isn't pulled down into our area like it was before.
  3. Euro is folding to the GFS and just crushing the weekend system that has been snowing on the eastern valley. It will likely affect everything after as well.
  4. The GFS is very cold but just Uber dry the next 10 days. If it came to pass it would be the driest stretch in my back yard since the flash drought in September 2019. It has me with about .2 qpf over 10 days. I just don't swallow that happening.
  5. Wave once is a nice event for east valley areas. It's crazy how tough it's been to get the west areas going this year.
  6. Probably 2.5 inches fell yesterday and early this morning but I maxed out at 1.5 inches on the ground.
  7. All in all the GFS and GFS Para are still snowy forum wide. The Euro was suppressed as is the Canadian. All are generally cold enough for winter precip. We will probably see more big hits and misses over the next few days.
  8. Weaker and suppressed. Not a bad look at all but I hate that it gets pushed back in time. Potential is still there but it just didn't work out that run.
  9. Looks like it's trying to cook something up towards the end but it's holding energy back in Texas. Not surprising that it's holding back.
  10. The second system is now basically nothing on the Euro. From here. To here.
  11. The NAO is off the charts negative after that system and it's west based. That should mean good things to come as long as the Pac isn't a disaster.
  12. It's much warmer and less snowy on wave one. Still cold but with some snow but 1-2 vs 3-6 and 10-15 Monday insead of -5 to 5 above. Basically fell in line with the rest of the 0z suite in that regard. Waiting to see how it affects what was the much bigger wave two that crushed most of the forum area. Keep in mind big storms and major cold will cause wild swings.
  13. Another round of + snow. Its odd, the radar presentation has no connection to how hard it's snowing. It looks the same with light snow and moderate or heavier snow.
  14. Heaviest rates since this morning underway now. Hopefully the HRRR was right showing me with another inch the rest of the night.
  15. TDOT said 75 between the Campbell/Anderson line and 141 was beginning to get snow covered. That could impact areas down into north Knox soon.
  16. The roads are getting bad here. It's a case where the snow on the road looks deeper than off the road.
  17. The band from Kentucky looks like it might stay far enough west to hit the western plateau and western valley unless it pivots soon.
  18. I am always interested in seeing the Micro climates here that show up in these situations. It's really rare to see snow coming from the direction it is now. 90 percent of the time you'd see a band rolling off Lake Michigan pointed down across Northern Kentucky in a NW flow situation. It's rare to see Erie involved and see High Knob making a snow shadow to the SSE.
  19. Super Sunday Snow Weenie alert. I am probably going to Nooga for the Super Bowl once again this weekend. Historically there's a 70 percent chance of at least one inch of snow falling 40 and north when I'm there on Super Bowl weekend.
  20. Its snowed here almost non stop for 18 hours and it's rarely shown up on radar. Granted 18 hours worth of snow has amounted to about an inch of total accumulations. So that may be why.
