I hope this run verifies. I'd love to extend my new years break from work! Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk -

Tight gradient here on the southern escarpment. Fingers crossed but expectations tempered. Sent from my Pixel 6 Pro using Tapatalk -
A large percentage of the country above average, says 10-15 degrees above. Most of the southeast except for the coastal areas. Yay.

Hope you all stay safe today to my northeast. May the limbs stay strong and the power stay on for all of you! Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

Sitting at about 3.5" now, heavy snow showers but small flakes. Wish I was 15 miles south! Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

About an inch here in Cashiers. Wish this would have been a daytime storm. Boo-hoo! Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

FYI snow is falling in Cashiers, NC! Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

Thanks for the data! Yeah it's been a soggy few years 'round these parts! Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

I recorded 128" in south Cashiers area in 2020, obviously not an official recording but it's the most I've ever recorded here in ten years. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk

Got a report of 2" in Glenville, just 1" in Cashiers. My daughter is going to be so disappointed when she wakes!.[emoji24]
-
Was supposed to get 3-5 overnight, woke up with 1" at best. What a royal bust for the overnight hours. Maybe it'll crank up as the day wears on.
-
Absolutely, I can count on one hand how many times I've seen ice here in my 40 years of living in Cashiers. Snow or rain it is and most often just a cold, cold rain, sadly.
-
My favorite time of year with a birthday in two days and weather that's nothing short of perfection!
-
4.01" for the event here in Cashiers, NC. Mostly steady rainfall without many "heavy" rain periods, and my gravel parking lot is quite happy due to that fact.
-
Well this is embarrassing. GSP called for 2-4" here, been snowing since 8 am and this is what I have to show for it.
-
Changing over from sleet to snow now. Warm layer must be getting beaten into submission. Yay!
-
Moderate sleet falling now, still 34/29
-
Light rain/drizzle starting, 35/29. Hope it starts wetbulbing down quickly before we lose precious precip!
-
35/29 here at the moment. Temp slowly dropping and radar looking nice upstream!
-
GSP did mention in a previous discussion that landslide threat will be legitimate. I just hope it doesn't hurt anyone! Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk

I'm no met, but since ice expands a bit when it freezes, it might be 1.1:1 ratio with ZR. Probably not worth thinking about.

I just make myself laugh to avoid my tears. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Lots of brining happening on the roads as well for anyone who'd be interested to know. Seems like the cars would wear it off the road before the party begins. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

Waynesville tonight was clear and calm, could see stars. Was 40 degrees at 8ish while Cullowhee was overcast and 45 degrees. News trucks were in the Waynesville Lowe's parking lot. They're situated nicely for the next couple days. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk

I live in cashiers, hoping to get smoked. [emoji1787] Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
