  1. The past few weeks have been more like Seattle than Western NC.. We are over 5 inches here in the past month and it looks to be very soggy in the next 2 weeks..
  2. GFS and Euro look way different even later this week. Euro has 2 to 4 inches of rain and GFS much less. Then the GFS tries to develop a southern wave on the next front giving a decent snow chance next week. Euro has a low cutting up the Ohio Valley with showers/storms and turning a bit colder behind it.
  3. I just want to see some legit winter weather for a couple weeks, with at least 1 or 2 miller A's. Is that too much to ask?
  4. I got some new chest waders for trout fishing but looks like the water levels will be high after the new few weeks. About all the models have 3 to 5 inches of rain the next 10 days and it's already wet...
  5. High elevations may see snow this weekend if the EURO is correct. It has heavy precip here with a nice low track. Too bad there isn't more cold air around or it could be a big one.
  6. https://nchighpeaks.org/davis/ 5.4 up there atm
  7. A lot of mets agree with your forecast from what I have seen. Good job.
  8. Pretty unimpressive in Asheville. It rained pretty hard but the wind was minimal.
  9. Line was unimpressive here in Asheville. Hardly any wind
  10. Euro looks really cold next weekend especially for NC. Widespread 20s
  11. The next drought monitor should look much better. Water table is healthy again in the Blue Ridge after 2.61 so far in Pleasant Gardens and over 6 inches for the month.
  12. Euro also has a tropical system impact the Mississippi valley heading slowly northeast at day 10.
  13. The EURO has been consistently hinting at a heavy rain setup in Western NC- especially the escarpment for Sunday/Monday.
  14. Severe season could be rough with all of these strong Pacific systems traversing the country...
  15. Big threat is flooding once again, 5-7 inch rain amounts seem possible for North GA, WNC, and upstate SC
  16. And you all were hating so bad on my posts a month or 2 ago about this winter sucking and being over... LAte next week I expect flowers and cherry trees to bloom for parts of the south
  17. Robert with another nail in the coffin on Facebook. I just hope it stays dry
  18. Winter is on its dying breath folks, enjoy the 80's tomorrow. It does look to get wet again next week and nasty cold rain likely for escarpment areas..
  19. Its really not that bad, I am from the mountains unlike you Flat landers I can handle a little wind and cold.. the heat is another story. The 2014 cold blast was much worse, and a few years ago it got below zero here with snowpack. Yes this is a very impressive arctic blast for the midwest and some of the Northeast but definitely a glancing blow here.. Highs here arent even forecasted to stay below freezing during any of it.
  20. You know... For this to be such a "arctic blast" it is really not that cold at all. 40 here and pretty nice out really even here in Virginia. SE Ridge FTW!
  21. I'm afraid it won't be sunny, 3 to 4 inches of rain next 2 weeks likely for you
  22. Ouch. And thats AFTER the first week of warm February weather. Could be a +3 or +4 month for sure.
