  1. I've noticed the last few euro runs have each trended a bit cooler and drier for NC before the Thursday storm. Think this run may be more icy than last
  2. Usually it's a cold rain here too since the early 2000s cads just don't produce anymore
  3. Lol no, that would mean you get 240 inches of rain per year. We have had close to 100 inches the past 2 years in a row and since 2013 we have been above 80 pretty much every year like clockwork. And we get about 3x as many CAD/fog events where you are sunny and warmer.
  4. McDowell County beats both counties with as many cad wedges we get each year.
  5. The Euro even gives DC and mid Atlantic a nice front end thump of snow before changing over.
  6. Could definitely see severe with this setup @buckeyefan1. I think a nasty squall line will develop in scream across the upstate and southern piedmont.
  7. Yep I've driven that section many times and it's an ice storms paradise
  8. Serious ice storm above 3k feet along the Blue Ridge escarpment
  9. I'm just hopeful for some sun Tuesday and Wednesday. Next weekend looks pretty good! We are at 1.3 since Thursday, thinking we get 3 or 4 before this wet spell ends
  10. 34 here and off and on rain, nothing heavy though
  11. Drove up to Spruce Pine, pea soup up here but my car thermometer never dipped below 33.
  12. I would keep an eye on the system late next week
  13. If that last storm late next week does take a true miller A track it may be the best threat of any of these systems the past week. The cold will be rotting by then but it's still plenty cold enough just to our north and west
  14. You would think this look would be a precursor to a winter storm in the carolinas..
  15. Lol thanks for taking it in jest. I don't even know you but couldn't pass up the joke.
  16. I would let you on the ark but we already have a jackass
  17. I think flooding along the Red River, Mississippi River and others could be really bad this spring
  18. Almost the entire state of Arkansas is going to get over a foot of snow the next 7 days.
  19. Luckily for western NC the models are showing less rain, shifting the heavy axis to eastern areas
  20. I was told there would be no severe weather..
  21. 36.8 here and still slowly dropping. Pretty close to an icy mess but not close enough
  22. People were giving me so much crap a few days ago about posting models that showed no snow or wintry precip.. look at us now
  23. It's still too early to grade the winter, at least for the foothills, and mountains. March can be wild and unpredictable
