Can't complain much. If it phases a bit sooner western NC will get buried.

Euro obliterates Virginia. Messy mix for NC.

UK is slightly warmer than 12Z but has a stronger system. More of a mixed bag for NC. Heavy snow VA. Edit- its quite a bit warmer than 12Z in the mid and upper levels in NC.

Pattern repetition/atmospheric memory. Central VA to the MD eastern shore are some of the biggest winners in the USA this winter. Why think they won't jackpot again?

ICON weaker than 12Z late bloomer with snow for northern piedmont and eastern NC more in VA.

I wasn't talking about this storm in particular more so the period after it. I think eastern NC and tidewater VA have a good shot

That foothills screw zone looks familiar

I see a foothills downslope screw zone showing up on models already.

We are racing against climo outside of the mountains. March snow is a thing of the past. It hasn't snowed more a couple inches in most foothills areas in March since March 1, 2009. Winters with no snow in March for foothills areas include- 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024. Add in the fact that Nina has strengthened and we are likely looking at an above average March.

Most of the models show more of a zonal pattern after next week. Could change but I don't see prolonged cold.

It's going be be below average for 4 or 5 days then warm back up. February will still be above average for most of us.
