  1. I just don't think it's in the cards for us this winter.
  2. Which is unfortunate because it showed a good setup previously
  3. ICON is like the 18Z GFS too quick and rain for most.
  4. The Mid Atlantic is going to have their best year in a long time. They have to be at average already.
  5. The Blue Ridge escarpment near Old Fort had over .50 for sure. Pretty much every tree was drooped over and lots of broken limbs
  6. Canadian is slower but has a stronger high and colder air (shocker)
  7. GFS looks like a redux of the past few days. another cold rain.
  8. Pretty bad along the crest of the Blue Ridge. Lots of trees down and drooping. At least .33 of ice.
  9. All the ridges above 2,500 ft are beautifully covered in ice in western McDowell
  10. Norfolk ends up with about 3 feet. No biggie
  11. Almost 20 inches here. Me and @WNC_Fort will be building igloos in Old Fort
  12. I can see the Facebook meteorologist hype train rolling now
  13. That might be the biggest weenie run of the GFS all winter for a lot of folks
  14. ICON looks good at the end of the run
  15. The top of Old Fort mountain had at least .25 ice and even the road had a few slick spots.
  16. I'm still in wait and see mode. We are going on 11 years with no snowstorm more than 4 inches in the snowiest month of the year climatologically. We haven't had more than 2 inches of snow total in any February since 2014. The SE Ridge will still give issues to areas along and south of 40, timing will need to be perfect.
  17. Its definitely a foothills special- mid 30s and rain. The op Euro was funny. We get a late bloomer and edged with snow while the coastal plain just smoked again. That would be a hilarious but fitting way to end the winter
