  1. NYE won’t touch this because there is no snow left to melt. Even if there is more rain and higher winds/temps it won’t have near the psychological or visual impact.
  2. Wow, I’m not in a particularly good wind spot but gusts are shaking the house. We will still have snow cover after midnight so it goes down as a white Christmas, bittersweet but officially white nonetheless.
  3. Man that sucks. Hope it remains a mild case for you and your family. Get well soon.
  4. I took advantage of the snow we have before it goes away. Went down to Woodstock, which is unbelievably classic New England with snow and Christmas decorations up, and did a 60 mile snowmobile ride. Still lots of snow from there through Plymouth and down to Ludlow. Caught a couple of glimpses of Killington but none of Okemo while we were down there. At least we got to play in the snow for a little bit.
  5. That will happen when he combines subsume with Hadley Cell
  6. That's what my wife and son have. I may actually take tomorrow off and trailer south to the big snows and where some grooming has happened the last few days
  7. I think I'm going to take them out of the trailer this afternoon just to bomb around the yard a bit before the snow goes away.
  8. Come to the NNE thread where JSpin will treat you to a bevy of bread and butter posts.
  9. He’s posted pics. That thread moved at 100mph though so they are probably buried, like his house.
  10. 1° here. Was down in W. Leb NH today. 32” looks legit down there.
  11. I was going to say Riddle Pond. I’ve seen them towards Groton on 302 as well. Near the Butterfield parking lot.
  12. Lol was just going to post the same thing for here. Looks like we will likely have similar obs this season.
  13. Out of the 251 towns in VT, how the heck did you come up with Wells? You don’t hear that as a destination often. I will say it’s pretty but Lake St. Catherine won’t do you much good this time of year. I guess it’s not too far from I-87/Lake George, NY. Anywhere in VT is good around the holidays. They were closer to the death band that sat there today but I don’t know how much that area ended up with.
  14. Nice. Welcome to the board. I love that area. Are you near Eastman Golf Links. I like that course
  15. Please, you know the cop thing is just a ruse, he's actually their main IT guy.
  16. It is nice having an NWS employee live basically around the corner from me, their measurements always track well with mine. A colleague of mine actually used live next door to them. I guess they transferred to BTV from CAR. Anyway, here is the PNS for Washington County
  17. OT but I am glad to see you posting again. Hope you are starting to feel better.
  18. This is in Mt. Holly, VT from a friend's Facebook post a couple of hours ago
  19. I'm sorry but after what we have been witnessing with Dendrite, I don't think you're allowed to use the word "crushed" for a mere 15"
  20. Because my expectations were so low, I'm pretty happy with 4"-5" we've received here. If it had been modeled to crush us and then we only got 4" or 5", the story would be different.
  21. But you know weenies will for every storm from now on.
  22. It's good seeing Walt Drag liking this post
