I’m watching the US women’s volleyball team take on China. I think the women’s game is better The rally’s are longer. The men’s game seems like brute power all the time, just like men’s tennis.

How good is the 3 on 3? I like that much more than full court.

I have only just started watching the 3X3 basketball but I already like it more than standard full court. Oh, and this an advantage of working from home, I can have the iPad playing off to the side.

I’m sort of a combination. Whenever I go somewhere I love to just walk around and see whatever, whether it’s an “attraction” or not. I do like to see tourist spots too, they’re usually popular for a reason. I’ve had good luck with those hop on hop off bus tours too. They’re good for giving you the lay of the land and getting you to places that are of interest.

I saw the last bit of the women’s fencing competition. First ever gold for the USA in women’s fencing.

Up here, the Sox/Yankee split used to be pretty close. There were even a number of radio stations in the state that were Yankee affiliates. Of course there was even a small contingent of Expos fans. It seems the Sox have come to dominate in this area.

Similar thing basically forced my dad into retirement. Fell off the back of the semi truck he was driving and broke his elbow. He never regained flexibility or strength in that arm and couldn’t drive truck anymore. He couldn’t go back to his original career as an HVAC tech either with a 50% arm. I think he was 64 at the time.

My go to for Olympic coverage has always been the CBC. Not that I don’t root for Team USA but the CBC seems to cover more than just most popular sports.

Just saw that 3x3, halfcourt basketball is making its debut in the Olympics. How in hell did the USA Men’s 3x3 team not qualify? You can grab three guys from almost any playground in the country and have damn competitive team.

Unfortunately it’s not about him entertaining it. His insurance company will calculate whether it’s less expansive to settle or fight the lawsuit.
