  1. @Ginx snewx Thought of you when I read this article. The researcher is an environmental science major at URI. https://www.bostonglobe.com/2021/10/04/metro/using-seashells-sustainable-drinking-water-treatment/?rss_id=section_rss_full&s_campaign=bg:full:rss:section&et_rid=745095886&s_campaign=businessheadlines:newsletter
  2. Yep. It’s one of the more annoying things about living here. If it’s such a great place, why aren’t people proud to share it? Isn’t it a compliment when someone could choose just about anywhere to live and they choose your area?
  3. Pretty mild change down in the Upper Valley. Really noticeable as as you head down the hill towards exit 3.
  4. My favorite lake. I have permission from my wife to divorce her for anyone who comes along that takes an interest in me (lol, fat chance) who owns a home in Willoughby.
  5. I wish I could get a decent pic. Really has started to pop in places.
  6. Cloudy, drizzle and cool. Tried to play a few holes of golf during a brief interlude. Started up again by the 4th hole. Decided to head down to W. Leb was much different not 10 miles south. Was partly cloudy and Upper 60s when I got down here.
  7. Long shot but maybe kidney stones?
  8. That’s disappointing. I was hoping there was still a way for both the Sox and the Yankees to miss the playoffs.
  9. I wouldn’t get your hopes up. According to some, we won’t peak until Halloween.
  10. Yeah, today is crap. Yesterday though was nice to be out in the woods. Overcast but not raining and cool but not cold. I will say though that I like day like this once in a while just so I don’t feel guilty sitting on the couch watching football all day.
  11. You can also avoid the real touristy spots like Stowe. Part of the problem there is that you have a limited number of routes through the area. Other areas have lots more back roads to explore where you can sort of avoid crowds.
  12. It seems like he thinks peak is scheduled the same every year, like Memorial Day or Labor Day.
  13. Yeah, I'm not sure exactly where he lives but it's close enough to me that I've spent a fair amount pf time in his area. There are a lot of hollows that radiate pretty well. He is in the same vicinity as our former NNE stalwart Allenson
  14. @ginx. I guess we know why he questions everybody’s totals now. He assumes they all have the same issues as he does!
  15. It's been a few years since I've played Stowe C.C. I'll have to get back there. I'd like to play the mountain course too but I've got to save $$ to buy the supply of golf balls I'd need
  16. The moral of the story is you need to look out for yourself. It's not like the Pats ever hesitated dropping someone as soon as there was even a hint of a performance decline. The Pats got as much out of Gronk as he got out of them. There is no loyalty in sports.
