  1. Devers grounded an infield single to 2nd base, but for whatever reason the third base coach sent Dalbec home from 2nd base on the infield hit. Dalbec was only like halfway there when the throw got to home. If he just takes 3rd base and doesn’t try to go 2nd to home on an infield ground ball, the bases would’ve been loaded. But very glad the Yankees chose to protect Kriske on the 40-man roster over Whitlock. Wont see this very often. Scored 2 runs without recording a hit.
  2. That base-running in the bottom of the 7th was the dumbest Red Sox thing I’ve seen in a long time. No idea wtf that was. Of course the Rays score 2 in the 9th to tie their game and then walk it off in the 10th. They are back to the team that doesn’t lose. Edit: Wasn’t pretty but a win is a win.
  3. I gotta get an X-Box… I miss relaxing with some video games. Flight simulators were always fun.
  4. Yeah that was weird. Torrential rain for a while before halting the game.
  5. Finally a trip down here without dews. Feels refreshing around these parts.
  6. Up and in? Love the snow talk in the SVR thread. I’m here for it.
  7. Last night’s fog/mist was wild. The droplets had to be as large as possible and still be suspended in the air. It was sort of like being in the misting part of the veggie section in a supermarket lol.
  8. Forgot about this observation… Had a brief rainbow this evening too in the misty showers and as the atmosphere dried out.
  9. Finally a cool night. The past several rainy days have had some lingering humidity... like low to mid 60s. Tonight it's already down in the mid-50s at 10:30pm. 55F here adjacent to the Stowe Country Club. Windows and doors open and it's chilly but much welcomed. 10pm temps are 53-60F in the local area between west and east side communities. The real nerd in me loves that the wind barbs come off the higher terrain as cold air drainage occurs from higher elevations downward.
  10. Heading down to the fabled NE CT tomorrow until Sunday. Forecast for Woodstock, CT. Looks like some COC weather coming up, especially Saturday morning... with 50s by night and 70s by day?
  11. Red Sox power going off.... 11 home runs in the past two games. 6 last night and 5 tonight so far.
  12. Love it. Parents can stack in the kids in the back and quietly enjoy a relaxing drive up front.
  13. Straight raining now, ha. Line of showers moving through. I’m all set with the SNE pattern.
  14. Low clouds, mist and drizzle. 64/61. Days and days.
  15. Yeah it’s the only appliance I’ve ever got extended warranties on. Our washer broke within a year of getting it. Took two weeks for a repairman to get the part and put it in. Covered by warranty but man two weeks without a washer in the winter with daily ski clothes sucked lol. Running to the laundromat every like 4th day to make sure base layers and socks are stocked up.
  16. Pretty sure he’s only got one foot left at this point.
  17. There’s irony to when some folks who long ago stated it’s over, we’ve moved on, no longer pay attention to the news, it’s only the afraid that still care, etc but then still discuss it 24/7 still. But COVID affected everyone differently. But then again this thread is the only place for COVID talk or news if you truly do not pay attention to the media.
  18. 7-10 split on that radar. Seems like it still should’ve soaked?
  19. 0.52” in the Stratus from the thunderstorm earlier… might have added a couple hundredths in sprinkles and drizzle afterward. MVL ASOS looks like 1.08” so they got into some good rain rates just north of here on RT 100.
  20. I remember looking up those infomercials when his picture first showed up on here, dude loved his damaged buckets. Learn something new every day!
  21. Ha I had no idea what that guy's name is. Now it makes a lot more sense.
  22. At first I thought it was an auto-correct typo, but who TF is Phil? That gerbil in PA who gets high off his shadow?
  23. Ha this is the desert up here. CT and MA flush out 6” of water by lunchtime some days.
