  1. Yep, that is what I'm thinking. Several inches of glacier.
  2. 30.6F Light freezing rain. The driveway is a sheet of black ice. I got 3.75" of snow last night and the pack is now around 9". Will the warm air get up here? Usually CAD wins at my location. I'm guessing a couple of hours of warmth, maybe the best right after fropa. How much of my pack will be left? I guess it depends if the tropical air gets in here or not.
  3. SNBS 28.8F Estimating 2.25" I'm surprised at the wind. I can hear it blowing in the trees and snow is dry enough that it is blowing off the roof.
  4. Last nights fluff gave me around 2". 13" on the season. Nice pack building up but heavy rain next week after a few more inches tomorrow night. Does it stay a cold rain with minimal damage to the pack or do we briefly surge into the warm windy air?
  5. That was a stormy week. Up here in Central NH the hills got a lot of snow on 12/5 and a lot of rain a few days later.
  6. 23.4/18 This is what is on the ground. I'll call it 4.5". This clipper will be interesting for me. Sharp cut off just south. Looks like quite a fluff factor. NWS says 3 to 4". Any guesses? I'd go a bit higher than them. I'll post the same shot tomorrow AM. Meanwhile, the GFS has almost 3" of qpf this week. If that front stalls just a bit further east we would get dumped on. Either way CAD will keep me in the 30s. It usually wins.
  7. Yeah, 1.5" of fluff. Snowing lightly again and up to 31F Maybe some squalls later to add an inch or so?
  8. 1.5" of fluff underperformer for sure. Some blue sky
  9. Very light snow just started. 29.7/18
  10. I wanted to post an update on new webcams and mesonet stations in the White Mountains. Mt Washington is expanding it's mesonet stations. New ones on the west side of the mountain. Loon has finally installed 4 webcams at different elevations on the mountain. Bretton Woods has cams as well as one on top of Cannon that is on the Mt Washington site. Waterville Valley has 2. For people like me this is all great news as I can get a better picture as what is going on to my north and you can see freezing levels with the mesonet. . Last year I made a donation to Mt Washington so they could install a north facing cam. They just contacted me again to see if I would be able to donate so they would have a west view too in a new window. If that happens, they would have summit cams in all 4 directions. I guess the cams bring in a lot of views.
  11. Our 11" wet snowfall has compacted to 6 or 7". The last couple of days have made it above freezing for a few hours each afternoon. Down below freezing now and looks to stay awhile. I need to snow blow a big area for our dog. If anyone misses snow come on up for a visit. 1:45 trip up Rt 93 from downtown Boston
  12. Don't be too jealous. I live on a dead end dirt road high on a hill. We are totally cut off right now from what i understand. A large oak fell across our road so about 10 houses have no way to get off the hill. I guess State Police have been called. Our highway department has only 2 guys in their 60s so this will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  13. 32.4F Last drops of flakes ending a some sprinkles. There was a bit more snow after this picture so I'll call it 11". This certainly was a birch bender. Seems like lots of tree damage. No power. About 1/2 our town is out. Hills above me got over a foot.
  14. Yeah, we do better than intense storms that have strong NE winds off the whites. I watched your cam today. Not much but on the other side of Franconia Notch a different world. Don't worry, lots of upslope and snow squalls in your future. You will catch up fast to me!
  15. -SN 32.0F 9.25" Trees are loaded but still power. All afternoon it has been stuck at 31.9 or 32F
  16. My family would be so angry but i would do it too!! Enjoy.
