  1. Very warm and humid up here with early morning sun. I think SPC area of potential heavy storms should have been bumped north. We have missed the severe action up here lately but things seemed primed this AM. Model qpf seem to be trending more bullish.
  2. Good luck down there. I might escape this whole system without any convective rain. Just a bit this AM
  3. Speaking of dews and Nashua, the ASOS has been reporting higher dews for quite awhile. Why doesn't someone at the NWS notice it and make an adjustment. Is it that hard to have a field guy go out? 71.4/68 here. Low clouds I don't expect any severe this far north
  4. My bet is a tornado watch for the first meso disc area and severe thunderstorm watch for the second disc further south 71/67 up here. Low overcast. Real severe threat will be south of the Dendrite area, imo
  5. Since the discussion starts out with damaging winds and a tornado or two my guess is a tornado watch
  6. 80% of a watch. Bets on severe thunderstorm or tornado?
  7. I forgot, there is the "enhanced" before we would get to moderate
  8. Upgrade to moderate? With what you all are honking sounds like it would happen later
  9. Lots of lightning on the Boston webcam looking west https://thebostonwebcam.com/
  10. About .15" looks like I'm about finished. Dodged every cell all day
  11. 68/64 Sun just breaking out. Some pretty intense echoes west. It will be interesting to see how much they weaken as they get to Central NH. Have had about .10" so far ....one more comment on electric. Eversource here in NH and NH Electric Coop are lowering their rates substantially on August 1rst. 12.6 cents per kilowatt hour, down from the current 20.2 cents per kilowatt hour. 38% rate reduction
  12. It's going to be like Tuckermans. Just to say you skied in August in California
  13. Brian, I got to come visit you and have you drive my electric Mustang Mache up the big hill you live on. You will be blown away with power of instant torque. Going on 18 months now and love this car. With the electricity rates going down it is much less costly to drive and great in the snow. Other than tire rotation not a penny of maintenance. Electric has down sides but like you said we have to start somewhere, especially for those who like snowy winters
  14. Compare my views. Thanks Canada. Estimate vis is about 4 miles
  15. Was just thinking how smokey it is....working in Newton just off 128 and it's super hazy/smokey So much smoke for the Eastern part of the US. Now it is coming from Western Canada. No more cool, clean Canadian air!
  16. ......and the event rainfall prize goes to Albany NH Trained spotter 4.85" (unless I missed something)
  17. Unless something pops up to the west, I'm done at 1.35". Most came within a 15 to 20 minute. max rain rate of 5.33" per hour
  18. Wow, quickly passed me 1.17" As the axis of heaviest rain is passing east of us up here do you expect more echoes to develop in SE NY State and W Mass to come back NNE this afternoon or is our heavy rain mostly over?
  19. RA++ Rain rate 5.33" per hour on Davis passing through 1" stratus
  20. Brian, you must be in a pretty robust cell right now? Just mostly light to moderate rain so far up here .20" looks to change soon
  21. Out of sight, out of mind! Canada continues to burn. An amazing amount of smoke. Midweek is the upper level winds going to drive all this down across the Northeast? It is not going to be coming straight down from Quebec but still lots of bad air for the Northern US
  22. The tricky thing is when this is all over you have to very carefully pour the big cylinder into the small one multiple times without missing one drop!
  23. I'm finally in the dry slot. About 1.30". Much more just NW of me.
  24. Batch of heavy rain just came through. Good luck to Vermont 1.15"
