  1. I'm supposed to go pick my kid up from school in Brockport. Wanna take a (slow) ride with me? You'll have to look the other way when I stop at one of the Seneca reservation weed stores
  2. Alright, this can end now. We have a booth at the Elephants Trunk flea market and it's raining and it sux
  3. So what's going to happen with tonight's possible rain? As of now it looks to be moving far enough NNW to slide by to our west.
  4. 66 with light rain pushing it just over 1" for the event.
  5. It got a little breezy and I ended at .98. Looks like another dose coming soon.
  6. About 1.5 miles to my west our own DrVts' station has .65 while the two up here on the hill are at .55. Not much wind yet, 6-9mph.
  7. So, when does it get wet today? The radar makes it look like there a wall in N Central NJ but the sky here is getting really dark.
  8. Last night's cold did it. The tomatoes are done peppers seem to be more hardy.
  9. My p&c says snow showers Tuesday night.
  10. Looks like it finally dropped below 32 here on the hill in the sheltered parts of the yard. Good thing I pulled all the peppers on Monday.
  11. All we need to mess with the power here is ~30mph winds.
  12. Looks like FL is in for a couple of ugly days.
  13. The flowers around my garden are in better shape than they've been since early June. The Nasturtiums have grown to as much as 10 feet long with dozens of blooms along their length and the marigolds are going bonkers. It's great
  14. We had a few days in October that felt about right. At $6/gal for oil I'm fine with it staying above 60 at night for a while longer. .02 today. Meh...
  15. .2 but again, it was a gloomy, wet day with the persistent fog/drizzle/mist that soaked things more than the amount would have you think. I've never seen such a happy garden this late in the season.
  16. Yeah it keeps getting almost to freezing in my backyard but not quite making it, the front has had thick frosts a few times. The garden is green and doing quite well, the bees are happy too. Now if I could get the birds to leave the strawberries alone so I could have some...
  17. It was after? The memory, she ain't what she used to be  Yup Halloween was ruined here 2011 and 12.
  18. A lot has to do with wind exposure. The tree in my front yard is already bare, it dropped 90% of it's leaves yesterday but, the trees on the other (downhill) side of the street which are well sheltered are still 80% full.
  19. And the next day it snowed. They had to cancel trick or treating here because it was still sketchy with branches falling and blocked streets with no power.
  20. With the price of heating oil I'd really rather see a warm winter this time around. Sorry...
  21. And I have less than .2 today. It has been misty and dreary and with the little bit from yesterday everything is soaked but it hasn't actually rained.
