Ravens will get better, and you all are on your way to a truly EPIC snowy winter! You'll be treated to a Doubleheader: Ravens win the SuperBowl, and Mid Atlantic is crippled severely by a record amount of torrential snow! Baltimore gets hit particularly hard by training thundersnows. Remember, You heard this from the Jebman first!

Yesterday Oct 7, Buda had it's 1st official high temp in the 70s, 75 degrees. Last night, Buda experienced its 1st official low in the 50s, 52 degrees. Along side a 34 degree dewpoint, that felt cold as heck! Normal temps for this date are a high of 84 and a low of 62. It's starting to feel a lot like a Super el Nino Autumn.

This is going to be a truly memorable winter in the Washington Metropolitan Region. Frigid, epically snowy, in a truly fierce El Nino to boot. And the oceans are so abnormally warm. This is an epic time to be alive!

This puppy is gonna be about ~93-95 percent annular here. Trying so hard to find eclipse glasses. -
Oh, winter is coming to the Mid Atlantic. It's going to get COLD, and its gonna be a SNOWY one, too! Get a whole bunch of Jebman Shovels. Get a ton of drinks to stay awake because you are all gonna be glued to those MODELS for months! It's going to be a super fun ride in the Mid Atlantic and you will all be sick of shoveling snow!

It's really chilly up in here in Buda, only in the low/mid 70s with a chilly north wind and dewpoints ONLY in the low 40s! This is downright cold to us! Its been humid and hot for the past 6 months lol. Thank goodness It warms back up to a comfortable 93/70 in a few days!

We were forecast to get .20 inch to 1 inch. I got up this morning and got the surprise of my life! THREE INCHES of fresh rain in the gauge and in all my beloved rain buckets. Mom's rain buckets for the plants were all brim full. That system last night was something else. It developed for our area in 2 hours. Then we simply got demolished between about 430am and mid morning. Now all we need, is for the hurricane off the Pacific Coast of Mexico, to send all of its moisture, straight to Texas. I crave rain. I love to wish for lots of fresh heavy rain! Let's get annihilated by 15 inches this time! I am not careful about what I wish for. I want an incredibly STRONG RECORD STRENGTH El Nino and all of the rains it brings! I crave the STRONGEST EL NINO EVER, in human history!

Okay folks. I own up. I panicked. I was out delivering in the San Marcos region of south central Texas. One of my weather friends down here called me up. He was chuckling. He'd been readin my posts. He said YOU MIGHT WANT TO HAVE A LOOK AT RADAR. This was 150am local time. That line has suddenly extended west and is going green to yellow to red. I sped home in a big hurry. Just got back put the anti rain cover on the car. Looks like we might get smacked after all. I really didnt want to spend the night into sunrise, hiding beneath a gas station canopy just because my car has a very leaky roof. I'm safe now, let it come. I want it to go nuclear, then stay on top of us for a long time. We need rain BAD. We just suffered under a FIERY SUMMER with no frackin' rain!

Need to get him to join up. Stat. Gonna be a memorable winter up in here.

After being promised rain from this massive front for over a week ------ it's back to dry forecast for Buda, along with a massive warming trend beginning next week. Hello mid September lol. Incredible storms just to our north, just heartbreaking. Happy for those folks, but I would have given so much for just a taste of that torrential, life-giving rain.

I love Billy Joel. Grew up with his music. Everything he sings reminds me of ripping snow at 9 degrees in Dale City in January.

Too bad, Webber. The Jebman will ALWAYS be biased strongly toward frigid cold crippling snow winters in the Mid Atlantic. It does not matter who you listen to or rt or whatever. I, Jeb, say it will be a frigid crippling snow winter in the Washington DC Metropolitan Region. And it will. Because I said so.

Folks crying for rain In the Mid Atlantic always talk about the infamous DC Split. Down here in the heart 'o Texas where I reside, we have the Central Texas Split. Everything goes by us in Austin, either to the north or south. Tonight, we are getting northed. I have absolutely given up all hope of ever seeing anything remotely green here in Buda, ever again. Record el Nino or not, we get missed. We are so damned good at getting missed by beneficial rains, that we have an honorary PhD in Rainlessness. This weather system will miss us again. Everyone else in North America will drown in El Nino rainfall. Here in Central Texas, we will be left high and dry and brown, as a Thanksgiving Turkey. LMAO folks! See, we Texans fail so spectacularly, that I can't even get the CODE right. I tried so hard to get the word brown to show up in a brown shade. Utter fail. What else is new.

Check out Mammoth Mountain cams, especially The Summit, and McCoy Station! The snow there indicates there have been RECENT snowfalls! https://www.mammothmountain.com/on-the-mountain/mammoth-webcam/mccoy-station https://www.mammothmountain.com/on-the-mountain/mammoth-webcam/the-summit They are making Palisades Tahoe look bad, lol

This is gonna seem ridiculous, but tonight, we had our 1st official low in the 60s after this hellageddon summer. It was so chilly I could hardly believe it.
-
Little bit of the light snow at the 8200' level at Palisades Tahoe right now! https://www.palisadestahoe.com/mountain-information/webcams You want snow sometimes you gotta go west young man! This season, intense unprecedented El Nino featuring bomb cyclones and unheard-of atmospheric rivers, Palisades will get absolutely destroyed and every last ski patrol person there will be totally PUNKED OUT by Christmas, and they will only barely be getting started! LMAO

I am jealous! I LOVE your avatar pic! It is very, very apt for this winter in the Mid Atlantic. This Nino is going to be a BEAST! You're gonna need truckloads of those Faces!
-
1. You are NO wannabe, George BM. 2. Expect this for real, as the record strong Nino shreds the Mid Atlantic this fall and winter. 3. George BM is dead on, but the snowfall amounts are conservative. This may happen later in the season but the Mid Atlantic will get severely walloped by snow and high winds.
-
I remember that! We got an early season Arctic Front that changed the rain to snow, we got an inch of snow, but Prince William County still made us go to damned school.
-
Bank on it. Twenty percent interest, too. You guys are gonna get buried ALIVE in deep snow!
-
Last night and the night before that, Palisades Tahoe had steady SNOW!!!! It was not accumulating but it was a cool 34 degrees! Those guys get the snow early! With the record strong super Nino, they are REALLY gonna get Januburied BAD this season! Its snowing lightly RIGHT NOW, TOO! Check out the 8200' Level webcam! https://www.palisadestahoe.com/mountain-information/webcams

How reputable is the National Center for Atmospheric Research? Are they just weenies like myself? If they ARE reputable and not just crazy El Nino weather weenies like myslef, then we are in serious, serious trouble folks. South Central Texas is in a BAD BAD BAD BAD drought, and people are moving here and sucking up all of the Ogallala waters at a frightening rate. I crave record rains in Buda. I want 900 quintillion year rains. I am so SCARED of running out of the water! I want a Harvey to spin over south central Texas for weeks. We need rain so bad, so damn bad that I want a billion year/magnitude Nino, to last years and years and years.
-
Your prayers are answered. Nino will not warm you this winter but it will bring above avg moisture. All your ski resorts will be jumping for joy. The lowlands will, too. This is going to be a winter to remember, all up and down the Eastern Seaboard. I am pulling for everyone back East to get buried ALIVE by snow this winter. There are a ton of meteorological forcings in play! Get ready, this is gonna be a very enjoyable ride!
-
This winter will be one to remember. All those forcings are going to bring incredibly excessive rains and also palisadic-magnitude snows in places that usually do not get ridiculous snows. Like the Washington DC Region this winter. I want those meteorological papers made available to the average person, because I will download, read then memorize every last one of them. One will be about a blizzard in the DC/MD/Va region.
