  1. Dormant fig starting to leaf out. Found a similar picture from April 16 of last year. It's about 3 weeks later this year. We insulate with shredded leaves (mostly) in winter. Just planted in 2020, so don't have any other data
  2. Congratulations, and may God bless your union.
  3. Looks like that 33f was set in 1874. Pretty cool. AAFB min 31f. (and 10 miles west of there, DCA lands at 42f)
  4. Low of 31f No scraping though. quite clear
  5. 34 for my low (...and where did this stupid wind come from? (me before sunrise this morning) )
  6. Fog, mist, with clouds. Not real bad, but occasionally needed the wipers driving in to work.
  7. Annapolis still overcast at 13:45
  8. IAD lists a Trace on May 26, 2002 . (seen at 2 different listings. Don't know if I believe it though) They also list Traces of snow in June 2015 and 2016, but by the temps listed, I suspect that's from hail or semi-hail. Gotta wonder about some of these obs. eta: Well, BWI lists a Trace on May 31, 2017. https://www.weather.gov/lwx/bwinme eta: OK, since we've started this....DCA lists a Trace on May 16, 1988...
  9. Little sleet mixed in with a rain shower here.
  10. Looking back at chainsaw and generator use, truckloads of slash hauled to landfill, amounts of firewood burned, and just looking at the tree and wire damage that's still evident along both State and County roads....Many observers would say we had a hell of a winter. But, it wasn't all that great. Still, these are things that don't happen but every 7 years or so.
  11. About 1.6" yesterday and overnight. Still light raining.
  12. Congratulations to IUTHC, and thanks to PFWx for the effort, for a fun and interesting contest.
  13. B- About 140% of climo on snowfall. One big 10" storm plus few smaller events. Possibly our 5th snowiest January ever. Overall the winter seemed pretty lame and unworthy of the B- grade, but with those January numbers, it's not fair to go lower.
  14. Apparently no severe in Annapolis area. 0.06" overnight. Overcast now.
  15. 28 with a touch of freezing rain
  16. Low 22 DP down to 7 last evening on a strong wind.
  17. As of 8:20 it's still rain at your old place 0.44" so far, 38f Gambrills
  18. 30f with fog. Car scrape again, but not bad
  19. Cold Rain; 38f Possibly 0.35" overnight on the Davis system. (Didn't check the normal gauge yet; it's still in winter configuration)
