  1. 22 for the low. About 10 warmer than yesterday morning.
  2. Snow squall seems like it should be harder by the look of this radar (but it's still coming)
  3. 8:25 sudden clouds and flizzard in Annapolis! Nice size, fluffy flakes too. (Was a sunny morning before) Low was 22f at my house
  4. https://www.weather.gov/wrh/climate?wfo=lwx How much snow did you get? Here is January, hi to low. (Might need to take this with a grain of salt.) ETA : Might be 6th snowiest Jan, based on NorthArlington101's 15" number,
  5. Thanks for your great recollection. (I hope our youngsters will get to read it). It may be hard for readers to know how different MoCo was in 1966. The (3 lane) Beltway was only a few years old, and all these multi-lane highways were just 2-lane connectors traveling through farms and forests.
  6. Seems so sad, I agree with Maestro; but actually a Blessing (I think). They were married for 67 years and died hand in hand. The funeral home even published just a single obituary for them together. I don't think it mentions their age, but I believe he (Matt) was a WW2 vet, so well into their 90s. Strong Italian family. Worth reading: https://www.tributearchive.com/obituaries/23786582/matthew-and-anna-bastardi/cranston/rhode-island/nardolillo-funeral-home-inc
  7. 4.30" for the monthly total. Snow =18.9" Lowest temp 8f, highest 62.
  8. One of my sisters was born Feb '66. Don't know the exact day my mom was driven to Providence hospital in NE, but I believe it was at least a day earlier, basically the day or 2 after the storm hit. She always said they were about the only car on the road. My (Canadian) Dad probably drove his mighty 1960 Rambler. Hardly had power to get out of it's own way, but seemed unstoppable in snow; proven in several upstate NY winters. I'm sure we got off school, but can't remember how many days. Drifts formed on lee side of houses. Quite unusual for our area, even during the snowy '60s.

  10. Low of 8. First single digit this season. Beautiful sunny morning now, quickly rose to 13f.
  11. Somewhat exaggerated,...but we did get close to 3". I logged it as 2.9" after several measurements. 19f and overcast. Eta: our little residential road had enough to plow, and the County did this morning.
  12. 1.0" Davidsonville. Still light snowing. Hasn't really stopped all evening, but has been light.
  13. Steady light snow Annapolis. Visibility about 1/2 mile.
  14. Lite. That's the kind of snow we'll end up with. edit: You could have at least used the Genuine Drift. more edit: Better than Bermuda High Life I suppose.
  15. Another cheap midnight low (27f); 30f at wake up. Notable: In my neighborhood, on the shady side of the street, several houses still have significant roof snow cover from the Jan 3 storm. Over 3 weeks ago. And Crofton is one of the warmer/less snowy parts of Wash/Balto area. Not bad for a Nina. Currently overcast.
  16. Davidsonville, MD (NWS LWX spotter network always calls it Crownsville, which is actually closer) 1/3/22 - 10.0" 1/7/22 - 4.0" 1/16/22 - 2.0” Total: 16.0”
  17. You may add my eyeballs to that score. Tidal South River was higher than I've seen over the year. Lotta ice too.
