28 for the low. But DP noticeably drier today at 20. (Up to 22 now)

Made a low of 27 overnight. Coldest of the season for me.

Google seems to (erroneously) think Sandy Level is on the NC border; not near Smith Mt. After a camping trip to Smith Lake years ago, I returned by the east side because I just had to visit the dam. Turned out to be quite a detour, but worth it. At that time Applalachian Power had a visitor center there which is really good. Seems to be run by volunteers too. Just driving around the area, I really liked it. Of course, knowing the history of the area, I felt like I should be driving around in a fast 1940 Ford with overload springs.

What?! You mean the winter with 51.8" of snow at BWI? Strangely though; if NOAA data is to be believed, the same winter had 33.6" at DCA. Significant difference, even for DCA. Anyway, I don't see 63-64 working out for us.

Sterling's Fog Advisory set to expire at 10:00am. I don't know how well it's clearing around the region, but here in Annapolis it's still plenty thick. Our survey crew has waited a little to go out; expecting it to be good by now. We'll just see, I guess.

Monthly total 5.29" Lowest temp 32f on the 19th; highest 75 on the 7th. Fairly early freeze date for my station. I notice 2015 was 31 on the same date.

Near constant drizzle here since Sunday afternoon. But probably less than 1/2" total so far. 0.11" overnight.

I've always thought (rightly or wrongly), that it also cuts down on seed being eaten by those pesky birds. Looks good.

Only about 0.30" for yesterday + overnight, but steady light rain started 5pm and never stopped. Temp has basically been 55f since sunset yesterday.

32.2 I was surprised to get that low. DP hovered around 31. Calm e.t.a. Plenty of frost in the neighborhood too

41 here. Look at the national map; freeze warnings to the Gulf Coast. Seems strangely early in the season for them to be hitting 32f.

I would report the strange, orange, light ball in the sky right now; but it hurts my eyes and I can't investigate it. I'll guess the sun first appeared in Annapolis about 12:15. Last seen on Thursday, I think. A patch of blue sky also.

September total 2.13". Driest month since last December. Highest temp 86; Lowest 45.

0.99" overnight. Bit breezy, 56f No branches down, which is unusual this summer, so I conclude there was no gusts overnight here.
