I listed it from por-2024 and noted a mean of 37.5. Also checked the Dec 2023 total and noted a normal of 38.6. So I estimate it has gone up about 1.1f 2004 and 2007 are at 37.5 and 37.8. 2008 and 2016 need the 38.6 crutch to be considered "colder than normal". But really, these are about average. But, y'know, since you asked...

using BWI ... Decembers this century with below normal avg temp (12 out of 23) 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2022 Dec 2000 shows as 7th coldest on record, (since 1873). Coldest, by far, is 1989....if you remember that. Decembers this century with above normal total snowfall (7 out of 23) 2002, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2013, 2017 So yes, we had a string of colder Decembers, but lately pretty lame.

Well, we did have that tornado 3 years ago. (One of my coworkers had to find new housing for almost a year. Hope that doesn't happen)

Was 100f on Sept 6 last year.

Winter of 56-57 was pretty lousy. . 15.4" snow. Dec and Feb warm. Jan cold. Similar to 2021-22. Some of my figures using BWI: Dec 56 +5.9. ... 0.2" snowfall Jan 57 -3.4 ... 10.7" Feb 57 +2.9 ... 2.7" (Numbers may vary a little, based on averages.)

Thought I had a low of 66 with DP around 63 this morning. But, after about 45 minutes, when I left for work it had suddenly fallen to 64f with DP of 58. Shockingly dry for my neighborhood. (I guess if I was a real weather geek I'd have called out late to work just to see how low it would go) Becoming quite cloudy now.

0.26" overnight, most in a pre-midnight T-storm. Even got a couple good cracks of T&L. Otherwise, yesterday threatened but never rained. DP was up to 77 too. Morning low 68/67 with blue sky.

Rather localized. I only got 1.30+0.40 overnight. I drove out to Davidsonville at 7pm and got pounded, but was just plain rain by the bison farm, then just a few sprinkles had fallen at Holy Family. Typical August storms.
