  1. "Dream Big" mentality. Compare to entries in our annual snowfall contest. Even better. Part of the fun.
  2. 0.28" overnight. Still drizzling a bit.
  3. 1.98" yesterday plus 1.37" more overnight. Event total 3.35".
  4. Hi of 79 today under clouds/ovrcst. Yet to get above 80 for August.
  5. 0.03" after about 3 hours of dzl.
  6. Annapolis noon walk.....Surprisingly nice out for Aug 3. Temps 70s, DP 60s, mostly cloudy, pleasant breeze.
  7. Low of 60f, same as yesterday. (No smoke)
  8. July total 4.98" Highest temp 93; lowest 63
  9. Just returned from Davidsonville...Rte 214 (Central Av) is closed. BGE on scene. Plenty of tree damage between here and there. Got lucky on our end if the street.
  10. Strong gusts, torrential rain, t&l here in Gambrills, Crofton. Our strongest T- storm of the season, but no hail so far. Power still on, but flickering
  11. 91 for my hi , but DP hit 81 Finally got the storm 2100, 0.62" rain
  12. No Thursday rain for us either. Hi temp 93. I'm predicting the same for today.
  13. Was it @Jebman? Been mostly cloudless here (and in Bowie)
  14. Hard to believe almost. And coldest Feb at BWI since 1934, which was the only Feb colder. (Even 1979)
  15. Feb 2015 Avg low of 15 at IAD. ETA: Well OK, here it is, since there seems to be some interest.:
  16. Rather ordinary T-storm striking Annapolis. Pretty good rain; average thunder.
  17. Both May and June were below normal. At KNAK, only 2 days in July (all summer too) hit 90 so far. Running a bit above normal (0.5 so far). So, here in AACo, it seems cool at first, and now normal, but I think the jury is still out until Aug/Sept happens. Other than the dry Westminster+ area, we don't have much to complain about yet.
  18. Sorry to hear it, but welcome back.
  19. Just cleared out: Looks like you had a Tornado Warning at first. :
  20. Good for you! I wish more observers would do this. Coincidentally, my numbers this morning are almost identical to yours but opposite. ..0.81 in the Davis, 0.61 in the true gauge. (Has to do with my heavy tree cover here) Happy to see so many of the dry spots getting their share this time.
  21. Just went out in Annapolis area. No smoke smell yet today. Haze picking up a little, but hardly noticeable yet. Mid 80s. Typical July day.
  22. Christmas 1969, our family drove from Syracuse NY (30") to home (MD) right through the teeth of it. My memory is of the amazing whiteouts and near impossible visibility in the Poconos. A few years later I read an article in I think Popular Mechanics about whiteouts, and I-81 in PA was one of the prime locations I was pretty young; my (Canadian) Dad handled all the driving. Long hard trip. At home it was just our usual rain/snow/ice crap
