    Of late, it appears to my unqualified eyes that the gfsv16 is pretty good esp. compared the gfs on the last storm.

    I got icy wet flakes here in hawthorne near HPN. Still coming down but its crappy snowgrowth. I have 31.4 degrees. Excellent storm and it looks to linger. I hope we can get some cold layered back in and add some fluff to whatever falls later. Id like to have 20 OTG but sitting stubbornly at 16. There appears to be enough moisture feeding in, but its too warm aloft.

    13.5 here in Hawthorne, north of HPN. Ripping 2 to 3 per hour ATM. Wind gusts must be 25 ish.

    Cutter remains for the 5th 6th timeframe on the GFS and as usual has plenty of support from GEFS and EPS. Could be a cutter following a few days later but not clear.

    Trends are south plainly. Within 4 days, must be taken seriously.

    According to DTs old rule, Monday bookends the weekend so it counts. The rule is specious but it worked for several years. Of course the law of averages played into the fallacy.

    That sheared storm is a miller b, a LP that transfers to off the coast. They can work out for parts of upstate NY...lots of possibilities.
