Our "new climo" hasn't really changed from 60 years ago or 100 years ago. Depending on atmospheric patterns we indeed witness almost daily occurrences of convection. Otherwise, high and dry. For a real mind trip, revisit the summer of 1963.

47.7 degrees at 6:15. That's 10 degrees below normal.

My low was 48.4 at 6 am. Augusta, Alleghany, Bath,Highland and Garrett Md. all reported some 40's. Garrett only expecting 70-75 today compared to my 76-81.

The 18 z Nam Nest 3 k is actually colder in Augusta than Garrett at 47 degrees at 6 am. It will be interesting as 10 degrees below normal on June 8 is noteworthy.

The 18z GFS has lost interest.

Op. GFS brings first heat wave June 16 - 22. GEFS not interested.

.77" last 20 hrs. The first decent rainfall since May 18. I have averaged drier than normal for the past 3.5 years since January of 2021. During this period I have received 122.6" rain and melted snow. Normal would have been 141.7". 19.1 inches below average precipitation since January of 2021.

Finally the CPC agrees with the GEFS, GFS, ECM, ECM Weeklies, GEM and CMC ensembles that the next 6 - 10 days will average cooler than normal.

41 degrees this morning. The coolest June 1 in 40 years! In 1984 it was 39.

39 at 6:30 (in Augusta County), 31 at Davis W.Va., 24.9 at the Va. Tech. station in Canaan Valley.

I would think that everyone including you knows that I live in Augusta County. Do I need to remind you with stupid reminder ???

68 degrees at 6 pm with a northwest wind of 10 - 15 mph. More like October 1.

48 degrees at 5:45. Average low for May 29 is 55. GFS, ECM and GEM say cooler than normal for the next 10 days. The CPC says warmer than normal. What gives here??

1.44" of rain last night. The most from any single event since January 27 when 1.47" fell !!

When the Watch was issued this morning, I flashed it in my newsletter with an advisory that the blend had diminished overnight from 1.02" down to .86" thru 00z 11-20. Who is correct at this hour, the models or the mets. at Sterling???? No contest.......... But 2 am has not arrived.............

38.2 degrees at 6 am. Frost developed overnight in portions of western Augusta and Highland with lows around 32!!

I will be gentle with you because you are obviously mentally challenged in various ways with additional very limited comprehension. The forecast referred to was the point specific NWS for Augusta County, (not D.C.). Please stop referring to a "large part of this forum". The NWS specific for Augusta County gives a high in the upper 60's today. Not bad because a 3 model blend is 66.3 for this afternoon. "Mostly Sunny" is in trouble as we have had cloudy skies since 6 am. The Sterling NWS mets. often inflate daily highs for Augusta, often call for sunny or mostly sunny when it is mostly cloudy and often inflate wind-speeds behind a cold front. 44 degrees and cloudy at 8:30. I've got to go and do some gardening, have a great day!
