  1. Yes it’s coming together now. Maybe we all get surprised with a late afternoon pivot.
  2. Ehhh it’s oriented N-S and it’s well after the main show. Not saying it’s impossible but I’ll believe that if it I see it.
  3. Hmmm hard to see how DC gets anywhere near those totals given the current look of the radar but it would be awesome if we did!
  4. Looks like things are starting to fill in a bit to our west. Hoping it comes together.
  5. Yeah I guess those of us who have been in the game a while knew that whatever the models spit out, a transfer is always dicey for us. That’s why I’m glad at least it’s white outside and my kids are having a blast.
  6. Perfect snowball/snowman snow by the way. Kids had a blast in it.
  7. About 1.5 inches. Nice event so far, hoping that some precip can blossom over the dc metro again.
  8. I was just looking at the next 18 hours and it has the dry slot. Does look nice for tomorrow still.
  9. Yeah I mean that area west of DC doesn’t look like it’s in a hurry to fill in. Hopefully it does.
  10. It does look like we are going to dry slot in DC pretty soon. Gonna go out and enjoy this last batch and hope we get something this afternoon.
  11. LOL don't look at the GFS. Do yourself a favor just go outside right now.
  12. I agree with this. For all the crap we collectively give it it always seems to lead the way on East Coast snowstorms inside of 72 hours. We dismiss the first run where it shows a north trend, and then the second, but then by the 3rd or 4th all the globals are on board with it. It's way better than the RGEM imo.
  13. You must be new here hahahaha. Btw FATTIES in Takoma park outta nowhere.
  14. The Rgem seems kinda like the ukie to me. More often than not if its out on a limb it doesn’t lead the way. BTW I think the para has had the NYC jackpot for a while now, if that does indeed happen it’ll be a good performance for it IMO.
  15. RGEM has the area of backside snow roughly in line with the euro for Tuesday. It’ll be awesome if that happens for whoever gets under it.
  16. this is going to be me watching the epic meltdowns in 2 hours if that dry slot in VA makes it into DC metro and shuts things off early.
  17. Yeah my parents and brother all live in NY so I’ve been following it for them. Pretty nice pressure gradient setting up so even though the storm isn’t that deep it’s going to be near blizzard for them. Wouldn’t be surprised to see blizzard warnings hoisted for NYC and LI. Oh well though, that’s for them, getting some bigger flakes here in Takoma Park again and rates improving a bit.
  18. This is how it is around here for the most part. I grew up in upstate NY and it took me a while to get used to the fact that even some of our “cold powder” events aren’t really that cold and there’s still slush on my driveway lol. It’s no big deal, we live in a marginal snow region on a rapidly warming planet. Just enjoy whatever we get!!! That’s what I’m doing and not sweating the details.
  19. Went out with kids already had a blast. Oh well if the NAMs say this is it, at least it’s pretty outside and it’s cold!
  20. Nice rates now and flake size increasing a bit. Will say SN. Takoma Park
  21. This is a very intriguing panel. When does this mostly fall, overnight Tuesday?
  22. Enjoy the next 12 hours of snow folks! It’s been a while since we’ve had an all day snow like this.
