The atmosphere is strongly Nina coupled though so it won't be long before things get wild. Wind shear is very low throughout and ssts remains near record highs. Once SAL diminishes and MJO becomes more favorable it'll be off to the races

Which is why worst summer ever regarding heat/humidity is probably true. Like you said it's only July 11th. Plenty more 95+ days next week before a short break.

We're in the runaway warming phase now. It's mostly game over At least we had some nice winters to look back on

It's definitely been underwhelming. Useless heat/humidity that hasn't yielded anything It's like cold/dry in the winter. Probably will have to wait til more tropical activity springs up later in the summer. Euro has a very active August/September for east coast.

Let's pull up a dew point chart too while we're at it. The data supports this summer as being one of the hottest already, now combine that with average dews. And it's only gonna get hotter.

Someone might get 10"+ this week. The moisture values are off the charts

And it makes perfect sense but it's also a small system so it could build a core and explode in a hurry too. Regardless it'll be a flooding threat mostly with its rather slow movement.

These storms have had a history of intensifying up until landfall. Models are showing the same but time should run out before it can get much stronger than a minimal hurricane.

Should get a good downpour soon. It's a sauna out there CAPE and shear is pretty high actually right now so more organized convection wouldn't surprise me

Models having a tough time with intensity especially for a relatively small hurricane like Beryl
