  1. Can confirm in Iowa. Much more precip than expected. It was very high ratio snow, was expecting 2 inches and got more like 6.
  2. Snowing at 3 degrees now. Looks to be an overperformer where I am.
  3. Pretty much done but got 2-3 inches from the first system. Whitened up the bare sports from the melting and rain on Tuesday. Can't complain.
  4. Already coming down nicely where I am in Grinnell. Coating on most surfaces. Very happy with this pattern, unfortunate it has to end after this week.
  5. Also got down to -5 here. NWS reported a wind chill of -13 which my brief walk outside confirmed. Nasty cold.
  6. Pack is starting to melt so I'm just hopeful for a nice refresher. Would be very happy with three solid inches.
  7. It is undeniable that our climate has changed significantly in the last few years. But it is also true that weather is weird and remains super hard to predict especially outside of 5 days. Winter ends in March last I checked. If you are already dooming about Winter this hobby is probably not for you. There will be tough trends and good luck. That's the fun of it!
  8. Also got down to -8 here in Grinnell. Snowpack helps. Like the trends for the clipper.
  9. Those are always fun surprises. Global models never capture their full extent.
  10. It's really quite unfortunate that the GFS is not a very good model. The general model consensus is positive for snow and cold after Thanksgiving and that's all I really need.
  11. Very pretty in Grinnell, Iowa at the moment. Hopefully the lake effect bands cash in.
  12. Radar looks pretty good for the appetizer in Iowa
  13. Coming down nicely right now in Grinnell, Iowa.
  14. Have a coating and it's coming down nicely in Grinnell, Iowa
  15. Should be a mildly interesting storm, at least where I am in Iowa.
  16. Snowing nicely at the moment in Manhattan. Looks beautiful out. The mostly forgotten dead end street outside my apartment has the tinest coating of snow on it. A success in my book!
  17. First accumulating snow in Grinnell, Iowa. I didn't measure but it's probably no more than 1.5 inches. I'll take whatever we get at this point.
  18. I would much rather cold than warm. At least when it's cold you can still get 2-4 inch events instead of winter rain...
