  1. I tried to catch up at the end, finished with 1.42"....almost double what we had in the last 35 days
  2. Yeah it has seemed like the heavier echoes have all been to my SE...so it adds up, congrats!
  3. We had some good downpours here, but still got shafted it seems...only around a half in here
  4. I wish, I would prefer a patio over the deck, but we take what we have for now...probably only have another 10 years on the current deck, so we have some time at least..
  5. Odd, same here.. a whopping .10" so far. It actually looks fairly descent to the southwest, so maybe more convective cells move in with heavier downpours
  6. My wife decided I should replace the deck boards with composite rather than slap deck over on them....it of course exposed other issues, so the weekend project has turned into the rest of the week project. So of course now it will rain and become a sauna. Lol
  7. Just some rain please! We somehow managed .19" yesterday...it was a welcomed relief, now I'm getting greedy and want inches more
  8. 53.2⁰ for the low, temp up to 58⁰....windows wide open for the first time in a few days
  9. Yeah it is odd, and I didn't believe the warning from the previous owner until the well stopped pumping water, twice now in the last year....when it is not over used, it flows into our house at 5 gallons per hour
  10. That's my neighbor's house looking east...they are an older couple, they aren't very interested. I keep trying to get everyone in our neighborhood, most don't like the look on their house. I will keep pushing it though, best decision here. Haven't had an electric bill since September....
  11. Haha, yeah...crazy to see the Pomperaug so low. Walking at the Audubon, the water level is eye opening. I will assume by September, I will be pumping water out of the pool and cursing the tomato blight. Watching all the rain to the north and west again, just can't buy a good soaker We have great water quality from our well and was told unless something drastic happens, we should only ever temporarily run out of water. Our elevation is only around 175 ft, so while we may suck it dry short term, hopefully it will always fill back up. Sand as deep as you can dig, very desert like for sure. Perfect microclimate for radiating. ...
  12. Makes sense right? The only green I have is from the septic field and the larger patches of clover. Otherwise it is as brown as I have ever seen grass since I moved up from Delaware. I have been soaking my cukes almost everyday, those things are producing better than ever, go figure....
  13. Yeah our 500' well only does roughly 200-250 gallons every 24 hrs...so keeping the garden and pool happy has been a little tough, ran the well dry 1.5 weeks ago trying to topp off the pool and water the garden on the same day... The only thing green right now are the trees, wetlands, and the weeds...
  14. https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/southbury-urging-residents-in-pomperaug-basin-area-to-conserve-water/2824921/?amp=1 Southbury making drought news....it is amazing to see full size forsythia bushes wilted by 10 am...haven't mowed since June 19th
  15. A few drops of rain, but that was all....the garden looks terrible despite watering every couple of days. Less than 1 inch of rain over the past 30 days. Going to be another warm day here, 68/64 currently....
  16. Looks like the a/c gets some use moving forward. Hopefully the increase in dews, leads to more rain chances. 56.8⁰ this morning, last cool morning for a while it seems....
  17. 46.6⁰ for the low...can we get some rain now? Yard has taken quite a hit over the past month
  18. .01 here....Stein is pushing Verlander status right now, unreal. My entire yard is burned to a crisp
  19. What a morning, 47.5⁰ for the low on July 4th. The swimming pool looked like a hot springs with all the steam coming off of it
  20. 84/50, warm to hot in the sun but quite comfortable in the shade with the northerly breeze. Looks like another low in the 40s incoming. Top 10 day for sure....Pool is pushing 86⁰
  21. Dryness continues here, 0.05" overnight....Lots of lightning though. Muggy morning, 75/69
  22. fully expecting rainfall that doesn't even wet underneath the trees.....0.88" here since the 10th of June, everything is crispy, very August like in our desert.
  23. It could be worse, I'm hoping to pickup up the add on fan at some point. When the budget allows it....
  24. Great for opening the windows, but the warm weather garden varieties hate it...
