High of ~91 here, currently 86/74/94, temp dropped when the marine layer moved in at around 2pm, before then it was fluctuating between 89-91

Picked up a measly 0.02” this afternoon, it doesn’t seem like the storms are going to make their way east of the city based on current radar but I guess we’ll see

Picked up only 0.09” of rain through yesterday and this morning, let’s see what today brings

I believe summer 2019 was a good recent storm season for the island, but nearly every year surrounding that has been mediocre

Picked up 0.23” from that cell that moved through, 0.65” since Sunday night here, 3.55” on the month

About 0.42” of rain here since Sunday night, so I’m up to 3.32 for the month. Max high for this month is only 82 and it doesn’t seem too likely that I’ll get much above that to close out the month

This is probably the first time this year that it’s actually felt uncomfortable with regards to the moisture. At least its 69/67 and not 89/67 because we don’t have air conditioning at the moment

Lightning must have hit the tracks near Straight Path and Wellwood in Lindenhurst because the barriers got stuck down at both crossings

The air still has a bitter taste here, a lot of surface smoke/haze still remains from yesterday

Wow multiple Cloud to ground strikes in Lindenhurst

Looks like perhaps some hail over Plainview at the moment

That cell just missed me by a quarter of a mile, there was 65-70 dbz reflectivity just to the south of me

Also i wonder if that little cell near Massapequa is producing any small hail

Im in a decent spot if this storm makes it to the south shore, right in line with the hail core’s projected movement
