  1. High of ~91 here, currently 86/74/94, temp dropped when the marine layer moved in at around 2pm, before then it was fluctuating between 89-91
  2. 91/73/100, first 90 of the year for me
  3. Picked up a measly 0.02” this afternoon, it doesn’t seem like the storms are going to make their way east of the city based on current radar but I guess we’ll see
  4. Picked up only 0.09” of rain through yesterday and this morning, let’s see what today brings
  5. I believe summer 2019 was a good recent storm season for the island, but nearly every year surrounding that has been mediocre
  6. 89/74/98 imby as of 1:00. First 90 of summer is in reach
  7. 80/74/85 here on the south shore, clouds have kept the temperature down a bit in the last half hour or so
  8. Picked up 0.23” from that cell that moved through, 0.65” since Sunday night here, 3.55” on the month
  9. Some cumulonimbus off to my northeast
  10. About 0.42” of rain here since Sunday night, so I’m up to 3.32 for the month. Max high for this month is only 82 and it doesn’t seem too likely that I’ll get much above that to close out the month
  11. This is probably the first time this year that it’s actually felt uncomfortable with regards to the moisture. At least its 69/67 and not 89/67 because we don’t have air conditioning at the moment
  12. Lightning must have hit the tracks near Straight Path and Wellwood in Lindenhurst because the barriers got stuck down at both crossings
  13. The air still has a bitter taste here, a lot of surface smoke/haze still remains from yesterday
  14. I’ve never seen one of these issued before: https://forecast.weather.gov/wwamap/wwatxtget.php?cwa=OKX&wwa=dense smoke advisory
  15. Visibility is down to 0.75 mi at FRG
  16. Can’t even see the sun anymore
  17. It smells absolutely rancid outside right now, my nose was literally burning
  18. Can literally smell the smoke in the air
  19. Hail up to dime sized not too long ago wow, crazy lightning too
  20. Some pea sized hail here
  21. Wow multiple Cloud to ground strikes in Lindenhurst
  22. Looks like perhaps some hail over Plainview at the moment
  23. That cell just missed me by a quarter of a mile, there was 65-70 dbz reflectivity just to the south of me
  24. Also i wonder if that little cell near Massapequa is producing any small hail
  25. Im in a decent spot if this storm makes it to the south shore, right in line with the hail core’s projected movement
