Yup, and the funny thing is that I’m usually the one pointing that out to others. And it was all for naught anyway, since we did grab the 70 after the afternoon climo report.

If anyone wondered whether there was a correlation between a dry Nov/Dec (<3" precip) and the winter snowfall...there is not. DCA's average is 15" and median is 11.6" in those cases, which is pretty close to the average.

Record stays at 69. Remains 9 calendar days with records <70.

Record high at DCA. At least 70 (maybe, saw from Ian’s Twitter that it was a 5 minute ob). Only 8 calendar days at DCA now have high temp records in the 60s.

It really has to be the first order of business so the emergency vehicles can get through.

Is the boardwalk area on the east(?) side beyond the pond new-ish, or am I just not remembering it? We were there about a decade ago and the again about 4 years ago with the kid, but in the latter trip we didn’t go as far. Up in PA for a couple of days to get away from home. Longwood Christmas is amazing. I’ve been in this area coming up on two decades and realized that this was the first time that I didn’t use the 95 or 270 corridors to travel north through Maryland. Going up 695 to 83 I saw signs for all of the places I only hear about because of this forum! And the typical MD story, I was on 695 coming up on a work van that had the “this vehicle travels the speed limit” sticker. It was going ~17 over, which I thought was about right for MD speed limits.

In Minnesota, we always talked about the two levels of freezes. The official one at 32, and then the "killing" freeze in the mid-20s. My low so far this season has been 29.7. There is stuff still quite alive in my yard.
