    Good to see the snow chances, but temps look more seasonal at this point; we snow and then we melt

    @The 4 Seasons we had 1” of slop here in Brooklyn.

    One thing that doesn’t appear to show in the long range is any deep cold weather

    Thursday and this weekend look to favor the Pike North if not Rt 2 area north. South of the pike with Elevation may score 1-2” of slop out of both events; will see if this changes.

    Question, how much credence in the long range? Long range models have struggled all season with any kind of consistency; need to see these threats there within 5 days.

    32F and light snow starting to coat the ground; I was happy with my .55” of rain and bare ground

    Down to 4F so far this am; deep winter conditions! Ponds and lakes must be in the 6-10” range of ice thickness. When’s the January thaw?

    Still cold, down to 4F so far this am; cold of yore! Cars will be driving on ponds again.

    Down to 2F this am, slightly warmer than the past couple of mornings. Should start to turn the corner today with more seasonal to slightly BN temps.

    One of the bright spots is that Ski Areas have been able to maintain conditions despite our lack of snow so far this season.

    And at least here there is not too much; however the bottom layer is frozen tundra

    -3F here in E CT. Slow melt coming this weekend and into next week.

    How long do we hold onto the clouds tonight? So we see a repeat tomorrow morning of lows we had today?
