  1. More than I expected but very much needed…. Breezy and partly cloudy here in E CT while W CT sees snow, good times!
  2. My concern is yes while .50/.75 of rain definitely helps with the fire threat if we are windy and dry out for the weekend into next week I think people will feel with todays rain it’s open season to burn again and we could see some problems again
  3. Looking like potentially only a .50” here in E CT, will help with the fire threat but it will dry quickly Sat and into next week and the rain will give everyone the green light to start burning
  4. So is BOX widespread 1.5-2.0 accurate or heaviest amount confined to Western NE and NYS? Guess we will see
  5. Wagons west with the rain for tomorrow? Seeing possibly a .50” here in Eastern CT which will be helpful but not enough to stop brush fire threat with another 5-6 dry days following.
  6. Let’s see how this shakes out, seeing .50-.75” here; a little skeptical that it’s going to be a little less than .50” which is good, we need it but will only dampen the very top layer and will be wind blown dry this weekend.
  7. Meh, showers this am fizzled to drops barely enough to dampen the driveway; I think the rain totals as we get closer to Thursday drop from an inch to possibly a 1/2 to maybe 3/4 with more west of the river
  8. Down to 32F this am, sort of surprised there is no ref flag warning this am with potential winds today
  9. I sit in a valley on my side of town, about 250’ in elevation.
  10. Down to 26F here in E CT, cold but no frost in the ground. Let’s see how this week modeling goes; the trend has been more north this season as we get closer
  11. It was dead calm here for a bit, but here is the breeze!
  12. Down to 27F this morning here in the Valley in E CT; now up to 32F and calm currently with no wind
  13. Down to 23F here in crispy E CT this am. Here comes the Red Fled weekend
  14. Not only the surface fuels but this are burning 6-8” in the ground running the root lines
  15. Forest burning from deep fried Turkeys, should be fun!
  16. 19F in NW CT, 28F here in Eastern CT and up now to 29F
  17. Nothing better than the 360Hr Storm threats to look forward to this winter!
  18. 57F so far for the low off of 23F yesterday; .16 over night for rain. Winds today and tomorrow say hold my beer to any rain we got and gives the green light for people to think it’s ok to start burning again.
  19. Some how we have escaped the embers burning around us here in Windham County; lucky we have had mostly illegal burns to contend with
  20. Down to 33F so far here in E CT, a change over the past few mornings.
