  1. Sporadic areas have their issues, but not feeling what was advertised here by any means... as I knew we wouldn't. It's always the shore and hilltops FTW in these. Now, when the cold front comes through I expect more here than earlier
  2. Yes. And your main panel should ALWAYS have neutral and ground bonded
  3. Rain is letting up at the office. Waiting on the cold front later, that's when I expect more wind here
  4. Sill not much here in Sims. There was a quick intense gust about 4:30 when a thunderstorm moved through. Probably what caused the outages here
  5. How much snow did you end up with last night? I drove from Manchester CT back to Westfield MA about 7pm and the roads were slick when I got past Suffield!
  6. He's trying the 'ol DIT reverse psychology
  7. It's recommended... however most never do. I'm am electrician and never do on my own. Really if it's wired with a 4 conductor cable it's already bonded to your electrical system. Well, and wired properly. SOO many portables aren't
  8. Hilltops FTW so far, not much here in the valley yet. However enough to impair some of the decrepit power grid. The tree trimming effort around here is so useless. If there's trees 30 feet above a line, trimming the lower branches really doesn't help anything. But people violently complain when they try to remove trees
  9. About 2K out in west Simsbury. Don Tuller was on the radio.. had to leave to fire up his generator
  10. I just came down from north Canton/Granby and there's still 100 percent cover... for now
  11. This allows time for extra egg nog, the adult kind
  12. Hence why among many CT electricians... they're known as NeverSource. NOT a fun company to deal with on a business level either
  13. I'll be driving in at 5a.m. I still don't expect a big deal in this area. 99 times out of 100 high wind forecasts under perform here. I'd be more concerned with the cold front passage later on
  14. That would sure be a big surprise to the general public since they're inundated with wind and rain talk.
  15. Yeah, not more than 5 minutes west of me there's still at least 8-10 inches down. We have pretty much nothing left, just patches
  16. Has it been getting better at all the last couple runs? I haven't had a chance today to look at those charts
