More times than not it will. I lived in New Hartford between 2012 and 2014 and just those two winters there I saw it compared to Simsbury. Although definitely not as much as if you were up in say Granville MA
I'm not convinced that you're almost sort of in the game at least. Up at my office in Simsbury this looks like a situation where we could be snow while just over the ridge east its a different scene. We'll have to see the track and dynamics...
I could see this as one of those storms where BDL has little, but a few miles west is hammered (or something more generous). That line that sets up in these systems just west of West Springfield down west of West Hartford etc.
Same here. It certainly doesn't look great for many here, but out this way we've done well with these setups. Even snow to mix/rain is ok with me... just give me a winter type storm
Simsbury is an interesting town with measurements. East side usually always less, sometimes by several inches. If he's west of Rt 10, or in one of the hill neighborhoods like Pinnacle mnt. there will be more.
I'm really not sure what you are looking at. Latest run looks worse than last night for snow in sne. GFS actually looks a lot better to my eye. Latest Euro looked like rain up to at least the Massachusetts Vermont border EDIT: gfs looks better...maybe not a lot
If you think you have something like that, please go get yourself checked out! My best friend has it and it's no joke but with proper treatments he's doing just fine. Without treatment, who knows!
