That's crazy! He actually didn't mean to get caught near the center of the thing, but traffic was stopped ahead of him so there was no where to go. It's actually the reason I never use limited access highways during snow storms, you run out of options quick.

It is interesting what some people will do when they're in a bad place in life. He was struggling at the time so like he said, the risk didn't seem like anything compared to what it would now. So let that be a lesson to all the snow weenies on this board

My husband was caught right in the middle of the Springfield, MA tornado... pretty much deliberately. He was on Rt91 right as it crossed the highway. He wants to go chasing again someday LOL When was that? 2011?

I haven't today. I took a peak yesterday after Tips comment and they didn't look bad, but I've really never been a fan of looking that far forward anyway. Gut feeling is we do OK in February, but that's not really based on scientific data LOL

We were just talking about winter 16/17 yesterday. It was one of the better winters IMBY, but I can't remember how areas SE did. It was a warmer winter, yet I had a pack longer than most in the last 25 years

Not here. Of course it's changed.. it has for millions of years. What we're arguing is what is causing it, and more the dumb weenie "it's never going to snow again" comments. And also those who think SNE usually has a pack all winter, it's never been typical in many areas especially the valley
