  1. We've had a nice moderate band move through Simsbury the last hour. Half inch down now. The roads are pretty slick due to lack of treatment... I love it! 29 degrees
  2. Shiaaa, maybe I should head to Truro for the weekend...
  3. I have to thank you, I've wanted to for a while myself. I'll just sit back and
  4. Light snow in Simsbury. The ground is actually a little white... for an hour or so lol 31 degrees
  5. Southwest execs going out for a celebratory lunch on account of the FAA taking the heat now
  6. True. I just feel some here see the term significant and immediately think 20 inch clown maps
  7. I hear that. We took a friends wife on her first snowmobiling trip during an extreme arctic outbreak several years back, I think one day had a high of -5... she was NOT impressed!
  8. I agree, however this year significant could be seen as 6 inches for most of our viewing area
  9. True. You know they'll waiver like a politician, but at least there's something to keep an eye on
  10. Ahhhhh the 18ZGFS giveth SNE love on the 20th. How long will the solution last lol
  11. Well that sucks! We are both fans of theirs
  12. I hear you, I wouldn't want to mess with that either! He was actually on Route 91 northbound just a couple hundred yards south of the bridge
  13. Actually correct, IIRC it was in its formative stages when he was in it.
  14. That's crazy! He actually didn't mean to get caught near the center of the thing, but traffic was stopped ahead of him so there was no where to go. It's actually the reason I never use limited access highways during snow storms, you run out of options quick.
  15. It is interesting what some people will do when they're in a bad place in life. He was struggling at the time so like he said, the risk didn't seem like anything compared to what it would now. So let that be a lesson to all the snow weenies on this board
  16. Certainly is LOL, just glad he survived and got over that period in life
  17. And all too many surrounding it that were nearly the same. I remember roughing a house in January or February wearing a T shirt a few days in a row
  18. Yup! Crazy little guy... pushed his car across nearly two lanes. He's toned down some since
  19. My husband was caught right in the middle of the Springfield, MA tornado... pretty much deliberately. He was on Rt91 right as it crossed the highway. He wants to go chasing again someday LOL When was that? 2011?
  20. I haven't today. I took a peak yesterday after Tips comment and they didn't look bad, but I've really never been a fan of looking that far forward anyway. Gut feeling is we do OK in February, but that's not really based on scientific data LOL
  21. I sort of have as well for the moment. Fortunately I have other hobbies, and a business to run so it's easy for me to step away for a while. I certainly don't think winter is done though... we'll see
  22. Wait! It won't make its own cold air??
