  1. Looks like there should be some snowmaking effort put out in the next 10 days or so. Killington is making snow now, I'd bet sunday river is too. Curious if other follow suit.

  3. I just saw this! I wonder if they will offer 5 days on the Ikon pass this season. I love Shawnee Peak.
  4. https://unofficialnetworks.com/2021/09/27/big-snow-indoor-ski-area-fire/ No way they it back up and running by Saturday. They must have lost all the snow.
  5. My favorite thread! Now that I’ve come out of my summer hibernation it’s time to talk about sliding on snow. Day one and two already in the books for me. Garbage weather, limited snow and lack of local knowledge(friend bailed) led me to Bagley Lakes in the North Cascades. Did get a couple days of solid 300-400 vert turns which for a New Englander in August felt like 10k vert. Rained a lot of my two days up there so I didn’t get to see Mount Baker or much of the incredible mountains in the area but I got some great shots of Shuksan one evening. Next year I’m thinking of lift assisted turns on mount hood may be more my style as I wade into my 40’s. Not an option this year for me as Timberline closed 8/15. I’ll try to post some picture here
  6. I was in the North Cascades during Henri. I was relieved to hear it wasn’t so bad at home.
  7. Played Sunday River Golf Course yesterday. Truly a wonderful experience. I did not play well and it was insanely hot but I really enjoyed it. Voted tops in Maine and top 100 in the USA public course. The views are incredible!
  8. Perfect week for the last few days of school! Well done mother nature, well done!
  9. Too hot to go outside for PE today, the gym isn't much better. Has a tropical jungle feel to it.
  10. Was super stoked for a game under the lights Memorial day weekend when our little league schedule came out back in April...... ugh. We are hearty and are still playing though!
  11. RIP James. Loved reading his posts and reading the reactions. There was never a threat for the cape he didn’t sniff out.
  12. Walked 18 at Ellinwood in Athol, MA yesterday. Nice old course. Fairways aren't great but the greens are pretty nice. Very tight challenging course with an interesting 6 par 3, 5 par 5, par 71 layout.
  13. That was the worst probably. He has had many tough sunday's at the US Open.
  14. I've always liked Phil. His personality makes him intriguing. His style of play, especially at the US Open is maddening to watch. Winning a 6th major at age 50 would be very impressive and definitely move him up the list of all time greats. Interesting if Koepka pulls it off he is tied with Phil for major wins and he has won multiple US Opens.
  15. Richy Werenski playing well. Nice to see a Western Mass kid contending in a major. He played well down the stretch in the fed ex cup last year.
  16. Yes that lower section got skied out pretty quick. I need to reevaluate my June ski plans. 8 months straight so far.
  17. Pretty nice here. Sun is going in and out of the clouds but it feels just right with a light sweatshirt and shorts. This evening will be perfect for our baseball game.
  18. Not seeing any big warmups until maybe end of the month. Does Killington try for June 1st?
  19. Hiked and skied at Stratton yesterday. There was around 1000 continuous vert down Franks Fall line. Definitely worth the hour drive.
  20. Next week is starting to look a little yucky. I need dry fields for PE class! Indoors is a covid guideline nightmare.
  21. It was supposedly 4 feet! It snowed another 6” over night on Saturday. May have been the greatest two ski days of my life. It snowed another 10” that Sunday night as well, I regret not staying another night.
