  1. That’s a great look for the northern resorts. Like to see it slide a bit more south.
  2. 9 days away but not looking great. I'll take what ever comes. Back to cold after that. I'd love a gradient pattern with a chance for a SWFE. Big bomb coastals need to really hug to get big snows back here.
  3. Heavy dusting at my house but it looks like around 2" in Savoy. Very deep winter up there right now.
  4. Dutch Hill was pretty nice on Saturday. Such a great spot for easy backcountry turns. Snow was firm enough to cover most rocks on the lower angle stuff, steeper stuff scraped down to rock in places but not thin. The skiing was better where it had been skied in a little, it made for better coverage. Decently busy but not terrible. I probably won’t go back until they get another 6-8”.
  5. That 6z GFS boldly supports the strong New England ski industry! So far away, wish we could just lock it in.
  6. I was out skiing for the evening and I see the 18z gfs destroys everything. I can’t stop looking at that run.
  7. Looks like a nice refresher for the ski resorts on the 18z GFS. NW mass gets a little bit too.
  8. The lower angle stuff is better for sure. My son did ski Beast and said it was fun. He is 13 so there's that.
  9. Seems like there are chances in the 26th-29th timeframe. Canadian at 12z has some fun with the clipper.
  10. Be nice to see this get more organized. That 6z GFS was looking more fun. Seems like a thread the needle situation with the two pieces of energy phasing.
  11. GFS has been playing around with the clipper next Wednesday. Maybe some to keep an eye on?
  12. What did they have open for trees? Stratton has very underrated glades that aren't skied very much.
  13. Berkshire East was fantastic early this morning. Skinned up at 7:15, got first tracks down Umass. Managed a bunch runs before taking a long break around 11. I even taught a couple lessons in the afternoon. Several of my favored tree shots were very skiable on the fat skis. This snow is the base we really need!
  14. Another Miller A? People are going to get upset!
  15. December 2012 the winter after the balmy, sunny winter of 2011-2012. 2012-13 especially mid Feb onward was a great run for you eastern folks.
  16. I feel like both of those did well here. I remember 12/26/2012 well. We got around 12" of heavy snow. I pretty sure it got destroyed by a January thaw. Man I wish the second half of that winter could walk through our door!
  17. I drive a Subaru with a stick and snow tires. My drive to work is more fun than anything else! I don't see much in the morning, some times deer and local cops. That is about it.
  18. 116 is south of Route 2 and doesn't have the same elevation. But Savoy is up over 1800' feet in most spots.
  19. I love my job so I don't mind the commute. I drive route 2 to Charlemont, 8A to Plainfield and 116 to some back roads to Lanesborough.
