Walked 18 at Ellinwood in Athol, MA yesterday. Nice old course. Fairways aren't great but the greens are pretty nice. Very tight challenging course with an interesting 6 par 3, 5 par 5, par 71 layout.

That was the worst probably. He has had many tough sunday's at the US Open.

I've always liked Phil. His personality makes him intriguing. His style of play, especially at the US Open is maddening to watch. Winning a 6th major at age 50 would be very impressive and definitely move him up the list of all time greats. Interesting if Koepka pulls it off he is tied with Phil for major wins and he has won multiple US Opens.

Richy Werenski playing well. Nice to see a Western Mass kid contending in a major. He played well down the stretch in the fed ex cup last year.

Yes that lower section got skied out pretty quick. I need to reevaluate my June ski plans. 8 months straight so far.

Pretty nice here. Sun is going in and out of the clouds but it feels just right with a light sweatshirt and shorts. This evening will be perfect for our baseball game.

Not seeing any big warmups until maybe end of the month. Does Killington try for June 1st?

Hiked and skied at Stratton yesterday. There was around 1000 continuous vert down Franks Fall line. Definitely worth the hour drive.

Next week is starting to look a little yucky. I need dry fields for PE class! Indoors is a covid guideline nightmare.

It was supposedly 4 feet! It snowed another 6” over night on Saturday. May have been the greatest two ski days of my life. It snowed another 10” that Sunday night as well, I regret not staying another night.

Today was pretty awesome at Saddleback. 4-5” fell from the storm and another 1” during the day up high. Trees were still very skiable off the kennebago chair. Intimidator and Nightmare were super fun. Not nearly as epic as my first time at Saddleback.(2/27 and 2/28 2010 if you don’t know look it up) but still a pretty nice day. Glad I was able to make it up here.

This is starting to look better and better for the handful of open ski resorts!

I wouldn’t mind a snow day Friday! We have only had one. Would make our last day a Friday which is fine with me!

The late season market is small this year. Makes sense for SR to try to get to 4/25.

Yes too bad... They did not get much rain last night. I drive by on my way to work everyday and though the main trails look very skiable the base is totally smoked. There is a little snow around the lift. Trying to work manmade snow when you only have a few hours of below freezing temps is tricky. Nice season for them though. Made a ton of cash.

Isn't it always sorta cool and crappy along the coast in April? I can remember many cool April days when i lived in Boston. A couple opening day games I went to were pretty nasty, Patriots day games as well. My location here is a much better for nice April weather.

I agree somewhat when talking about Berkshire East. We get so little snowfall normally but to have the bulk of it in February without rain and warmups was very nice. I think if they can some how open next weekend I'll go with a solid B for the season. (i was there yesterday making turns and I'm not sure they can pull it off unless they blow some snow Monday night) They have put a ton of effort in improving the skiing experience this year. 2016 and 2012 were F's. 2011, 2015 were A's. Actually a lot of of B seasons over the last 10. 2017, 2018, 2014, 2013. 2019, was a C. 2020 was a D due to Covid and really lack of snowfall. Maybe it's time to start shifting my grading to reflect the lack of natural vs the power of the snowmaking system.
