Nothing is much worse than waking up in hades late one night , then waking up 2 weeks later in VCU 100 miles away knowing that you had lost something that cannot be replaced...
It absolutely sucks for us snow lovers --- But all of us could have worse things happen to us personally , I unfortunately speak from terrifying experience...

It never wavered from a central Va west to east jack, it wound up being a bit too far south (Richmond) but the Euro was jacking northern Va and MD for awhile there....

Definitely some higher river flows.. I'll never forget Jan 96 going to bed as a teen thinking no way all this snow is going to melt in one night even with the rapidly rising temps and dew points... The roar of the nearby mountain river the next morning gave me the answer b4 I even looked outside... Then the 2 inch rainfall that morning really flooded Virginia up into PA...
Best event in Waynesboro was the intensity of Debby back in August - was a wild night...
Best long duration was the 15 days of tropical rain later in September, with over 15 inches in those 15 days.. Memories of the 2 weeks of June 1995 Virginia Flooding....
I said it last January - last year was the year for this current Ravens team with all the AFC qb injuries and home field... was very very unlikely that they could or would beat the Bills and Chiefs back to back on the road this seasons playoffs ...
