The RGEM looked very good so GGEM should be much improved.

The model we see is the operational. There are also 51 or so different ensemble members that provide different solutions and are usually looked at in the mid and longer term so he is saying just treat the operational like one of those and just another solution that may or may not be right until closer to the event. IMO operationals have a lot of variablility beyond 72 hours.

Sure I am. Just like cold and winter was over in December. January is going to be well below normal so it stands to reason that Feb may have a warmup. You never miss a chance to accentuate warmth and no snow. If one long range prog shows it you will jump all over it. It's what you do. I have never once seen you excited about a potential wintry event. You are always quiet when it does snow. You are a broken record that has zero credibility. Please change your screen name to warmandwet.

No it doesn't. It was also supposed to be over in December.

It was all snow here, not a lot but looks nice. Picked up .5 inch for a whopping 7 for the season. 31 right now with some sun.

That makes sense though. It could be slippery tomorrow morning even if only an inch or 2.

I just took a look at latest hrrr and it's very possible we get shafted with only a dusting tonight and that was the most robust up here. I guess we hope for the best.
