Finished with 9 inches, 18 for the season. It was a good storm up here. Anywhere between 8 and 10.5 according to reports.

The nam is a blind squirrel that does find an acorn every now and then with mid level warmth. It's also wrong most of the time with everything else hence why it is being replaced. It had me at 2 inches at this time and I have 5.

How could that be? The dry Euro at 10:1 has 4 inches for NYC. Blasphemy.

Yea and? They are aware and don't expect it to affect accumulations and increased amounts. Most of the snow is going to fall in a 6 hour timeframe when precip is heavy. I could see a mix in southern areas mostly after the damage has been done.

That is simply not true. Will some areas change over for a time as the precip lightens up? Maybe. NWS still has 6 inches or so for basically the entire NYC metro and they increased amounts slightly overnight. Are they just looking at snow maps also?

We are in a good spot for around 8 tonight. It's going to come down hard for a while.

Of course you do. Not hugging the nam today? Other models that show more have been just as consistent. Also ratios will be in the 13-15:1 range in northern sections. Many areas will see 6-8.

Very odd indeed but NWS Albany is always late putting up watches and warnings. There should be a watch up with start time less than 36 hours away. Dutchess county needs 7 inches in 24 hours to reach warning criteria but to post nothing is ridiculous especially with holiday travel. They can always change to WWA or warning.

25 with very light snow, just about over up here. Got 2 inches, 8 for the season.

29 and cloudy. Expecting 2-3 in central Dutchess county to add to the 6 so far this season. Everybody gets in on the fun this time. I could definitely see 4-5 NYC metro. -
29 and just light sleet/ZR. Picked up 4.5, snowed until about 3 then changed over.

28.3 heavy snow with big flakes. Mix line isn't too far away but still all snow. Eyeballing 4-5 inches.

Got a late start as I only had .08 at midnight but now have 1.62 in the bucket here in Poughkeepsie area. Right now temp 49, breezy, and rain.

The cold has been there and so have the opportunities as well. It just hasn't worked out in the snow dept for many in NYC metro but it's likely that February is below normal temp wise and that makes 3 months in a row of below normal temps. When was the last time that has happened? Not everybody has done so poorly in the snow dept either. I have 24 inches so far which is below normal but not that bad and we still have 3-4 weeks of winter that can still produce especially north of I84 where i reside.

Some of you guys are talking like the winter is over and it's April. It's not. Let's wait another month or so. March is the new December.
