It was a reference to a Sir Mix A Lot song before you were born, sorry. Last storm was supposed to be 4-6” for my area by NWS and then upgraded to 6-8” during the storm. We got 11”, so opposite of a bust.

Guess it matters where you live and understanding this is geographically a large forum. For example, most models give me 2-5”, so yeah, folks like me are still tracking. I may end up with zero, but I am not going to stop tracking since DC folks have given up. Why would I?

The very first post I saw on social media when I logged on today was from a guy saying: “Remember, storms don’t trend, models do. Whatever happens was going to happen all along.” Keeping this in mind is probably a good idea for all of us on this board. @stormtracker tried to warn everyone not to live and die by every run of every model, but alas, here we are.

I live in a similar rural area. Between a few tractors with blades and my atv with a blade on the front, we get the neighbor’s driveways plowed and our street plowed waaay before VDOT ever gets a chance. It is fun and kind of awesome!

Just deciding whether we get a SECS, a MECS, a HECS, or a BECS next week. And what the definition of those are. PSU is in. Stormtracker is trying to encourage the masses not to cliff dive if one run here or there isn't perfect. Oh, and Ravensrule told us about his ED. I think that's most of it.

Up to 4” now and steadily snowing quarter-sized flakes. Beautiful! Warming up by the wood stove then back outside for an atv ride by the river.
