  1. Definitely better for mby and points further north in the Shenandoah Valley
  2. Think I am screwed down here, but every once in awhile the Euro throws snow tv my way, even down here in Augusta at elevation (.5” to 1”)
  3. My favorite is that every map that shows snow by the MD PA border is where PSU lives when people post about it. And where he lives is depicted wildly over time. Even if it is north of Hagerstown at times or to the east all the way to Lineboro wherever a storm jacks is Mt PSU. Literally have nothing against PSU- your analysis is amazing and you are a bright dude who knows way more about weather than I do. Just think it is funny that people adjust where you live by wherever the jackpot is in any given clown map!
  4. I know we are hoping against hope with this one, but that blend has been way low for the last 2 snowstorms at least where I live. edit: How did it do for others’ backyards?
  5. Car said 8 degrees driving through Churchville in Augusta County this morning.
  6. Snowing nicely again here. 2.2” so far. 27 degrees. NW of Staunton. Beautiful!
  7. More like 3:00 am here. Snow, Djokovic, and wood stove!
  8. Agreed with the trend, but I feel like it is always behind. Last storm, and this one as well. More useful if models are stable than it is super close to an event when they are trending.
  9. As someone who has lived in the valley for 17 years, I can attest to the fact that the view looking east to the Blue Ridge and the view looking west to the Alleghenys never gets old!
  10. It has been so long since many here have had back-to-back short-term snow threads of interest that we forgot how to do it!
  11. 3k looks better and more realistic than the 12k, but stuck at 50 on TT
  12. Sorry it didn’t work out for you, but for most folks the last storm trended better in the last 24-36 hours if you go back and read the thread. I don’t think the guidance shifted north late much for most longitudes in this sub. I think it was the opposite and the last minute trends were good.
  13. It was snowing here when the sun came up and it is still snowing! I don’t care if it has only accumulated an inch or two so far. It has been awesome! 29°
  14. Despite the radar returns (I live in a well-documented radar hole that is shaped like an isosceles triangle), it has been snowing all day here. Only have about 1.5” to show for it, but I will take a cold smoke snow for 24 hrs straight storm all day every day. NFL playoff football and a roaring wood stove and good beer and herbs and snow. Life is good, y’all!
  15. This map is event total. The map you might be referring to is Monday 7:00am until tomorrow, which shows less since some has fallen already, especially down in the SW portions of the lwx area
  16. We just go to my buddy’s house in Staunton since he is a bachelor. It was a blast watching the Cowboys get crushed (I am a Washington fan)!
  17. 25° and lightly snowing. Approaching 1” here in NW Augusta County.
  18. Heading out to hang with my fellas and keep the Sunday wild card NFL tradition going. It has been over a decade and even babies being born soon before and soon after and snow storms haven’t been able to stop it. Might need my 16 yr old son to pick me up tonight! Beer and legal herbs and cold and football and snow squalls and a 2-4”+ event tomorrow night help the mood. We are all teachers and could use a snow day for sure. Hope all in this sub-forum score a cold smoke even tomorrow night!
  19. Snow squall line came through with moderate flurries at the peak (about 20 minutes ago). 34° and feels cold af outside with the high winds. nw of Staunton in Augusta County
  20. You can see the skip even in the short term models. @Heisy is annoyingly accurate in his analysis. Lol
  21. 35° and flurries here northwest of Stanton in Augusta county
  22. I’m am not sure where the panic room is bc I have never been there, but some of you all might want to find it and check it out!
