  1. Thanks for sharing man. I’m right in the middle of the heaviest snow axis that stretches through 2-3 counties on that RGeM run, fingers crossed brother! Looks like it stretches from south eastern Fayette county into my county which is hardeman county.
  2. If north alabama gets blasted with a huge snow again and I get nothing I’m gonna be furious. Lol
  3. All good brotha, just messing with you. Thanks for always sharing those maps, I really appreciate it!! Hope you can ice down a whole 6 pack in the snow this go around instead of just 2 like last time
  4. You just had to leave west Tn off your map selection didn’t you? lol. I’m gonna start calling this the East Tennessee weather forum...
  5. Will be interesting to see how the model runs trend today, seems like a pretty good look at this point. A lot can change in 48 hours though. Looks like winter weather advisories are up now in northern Arkansas. I’m curious to see what NWS does for advisories in west, middle, and east TN over the next day or so.
  6. Yeah man, I appreciate it! And that’s cool, you know how hard it is to find a good setup person then. And yeah those 5:30-6am starts get cold in those timeframes you mentioned, it was pretty miserable out there today honestly. The wind gets to gusting and it just cuts right through you. Mood flakes made it a little better though
  7. Lots of cedar and pine tree issues around the course this morning as well as around the entire Shelby county/ Memphis metro area today. Last I checked there was 100000+ outages in the city
  8. Highway 64 on the Far East side of Shelby county.
  9. Light snow this morning in Collierville also, light dusting on everything as we were cutting limbs off the entrance road to the course. Wasn’t expected but was not surprised to see it given how cold it is and how overcast it was this morning.
  10. Here’s one pic from the course I manage, pic doesn’t really do it justice though. We dodged a bullet here in southeast Memphis but we still have a lot of cleanup to do around the course. It sounds like up north of the city around Millington got hit the worst. Lots of power outages in Shelby and Fayette county today. Ice storm warning area was spot on as I could tell a huge difference driving from a winter weather advisory county into the ice storm warning county. NWS did a good job warning folks
  11. This is Houston levee road in Memphis. It was definitely a beautiful drive down it this morning but lots of downed trees and problematic trees on electrical wires
  12. Same thing down my way, the precip that came through late last put down just enough freezing rain/sleet to make the streets an ice rink this morning. Highways are a little better, backroads are treacherous
  13. Looks like Marion Arkansas has a good bit of sleet/ice on the ground. Roads are covered with sleet. Memphis is reporting some light icing right now, 60 miles east of memphis at my place it’s just rain Right now though.
  14. Under a winter weather advisory in my county. They’re Calling for up to an inch of snow/sleet and a .10 of an inch of freezing rain. The county bordering me is under a ice storm warning though. Will be interesting to see how Far East the ice gets
  15. That would be devastating if it came to fruition. Models seem pretty dialed in on that heavy section of freezing rain accumulation though. The magnitude alone of this storm is impressive without the ice totals factored in.
  16. Yeah, Ice storms are just no fun. Wish we were gonna see snow like OKC is but that’s just not on the table for us. Hoping it doesn’t affect us to bad, ice could be crippling for some though depending upon the area.
  17. February discussion for all things winter in the Tennessee Valley Sub-forum. When we have a likely event 2-3 days out we can create an individual thread for said storm. It helps for record keeping purposes as a lot us like to look back on old threads to learn, etc. Hope everyone is doing well.
  18. I’ll pass on the Ice Storm. Just hoping for a good snow before winter leaves us for the year. I agree with your sentiment about the GFS too, it’s been really impressive at times sniffing out storms in the long range.
  19. 6zGfS has a very active storm track over the next 10-12 days. It’s basically a storm rolling through the forum every 3-4 days. Really good potential going forward for trackable storms in our forum.
  20. That’s exactly how it went here, south part of the county along the Mississippi line got absolutely hammered but you can’t even tell it snowed in the top half of the county 20 miles north. Same scenario in our border county Mcnairy county.
  21. My house got maybe a 1/2 inch of snow, 30 miles south, east and west of me got 3 inches+. Pickwick lake picked up like 5 inches. It’s definitely disheartening when a system pans out this way. Pretty cruel honestly, I hope you guys out east fair better than I did.
