  1. some people think that having a storm in the right spot magically produces snow lol
  2. I dont care if the rest of winter is in the 90s if we can get ONE snowstorm like that every winter I'm happy.
  3. funny thing is my inland location near Allentown also got 30" and my coastal location near JFK also got 30" lmao I wish every snowstorm was like this....this was the Michael Jordan GOAT of snowstorms!
  4. No in my post I said we dont have a mud season like New England does, and it makes their springs worthless. I'd rather be outside doing planting rather than being inside watching it rain. Our climate is better than New England's.
  5. ehhh the two worst busts of all time! But I feel like the Jan 2008 Heavy Snow Warning bust doesn't get mentioned enough either. I think that was the last HWS we had?
  6. He's jealous of NNE- that made me laugh. It's like saying someone in Florida is jealous of NYC because of how much snow NYC gets. C'mon now LOL Of course Florida isn't jealous of NYC for weather reasons anyway. I guess he doesn't like how much better our springs and summers are and we dont get a "mud season" like New England gets.
  7. This looks like it will be good for interior SNE but not for coastal areas even up there.
  8. I very much doubt we will see 1" of rain let alone 1" of snow. You worked so hard Walt, it isn't your fault, the cut off was just too sharp with this and for some storms, you really can't pin down details until within 48 hours.
  9. You have an app called SnowBuddy? Did Metfan write it?! All I hear are "crickets"
  10. You guys think this is bad....look up Feb 1989 lol. A busted forecast for 8 inches of snow, we got inches of virga instead.
  11. and that's why your name is JoshSnow and not JoshRain ;-)
  12. Would this be considered a Miller B? Those are the ones most likely to have precip patterns like this.
  13. so the timeframe is the same.....our window closes by Dec 20th and then we get another window starting Jan 15th?
  14. why cant we just not have ENSO anymore or at the very least not have it influence our weather anymore.
  15. most of them were January and most of those were dry and cold lol..and the one December in 1989 which was historically cold but also hysterically dry....
  16. it was pretty good in Feb 2006 though. That said March can be pretty good in this ENSO state
  17. Maybe we wont even get that much rain and wind if the storm develops so late. I take it that 0.6 on the edges shouldn't be believed lol
  18. Yeah I'm more like east-central PA right now, one county north of Allentown, but the 2,000 ft elevation is sure going to help.
  19. thats an interesting quandary, whats a better place to be, NE PA at 2000 ft where the best snows could be to my east, or the south shore of nassau county, where the best snows could be just to my north?
