  1. Looks very similar to the hot NE anomalies we have been seeing in recent warm seasons
  2. JFK was quite a bit colder than NYC and LGA too
  3. he just rips/reads the ENSO forecast.... el nino la nina this year he got a big fat la nada for his winter forecast lol
  4. hopefully we just have warm and dry
  5. April snows are more memorable than March snows.
  6. Nice December too, very 2009-10ish kind of snowfall profile. That's one reason I'm looking to see if we follow that summer pattern. (Other reason is the 11 yr cycle.)
  7. Our snowiest Februaries can eclipse 30 inches.....a snowy March around here is like 10 inches lol. Take the snowy February and run with it.
  8. I only notable exception to this I can think of is 2014-15
  9. or more like a lesser version of 2009-10
  10. the sky looked amazing! do you think this pattern continues for tomorrow and Monday? I dont want that offshore storm to mess up our perfect blue sky!
  11. does that correlate well to our hottest summers, Chris?
  12. Surprised that we didn't have a late freeze last year when we had snow in May lol.
  13. he's like a security guard that's guarding a house after it's already been robbed in the hopes that the thieves will come back lol
  14. I'm wondering if we will follow the script of 2009-10 since that is another winter we've been mimicking. ENSO doesn't seem to matter for our extremely hot summers and this mild/dry spring pattern is very reminiscent as a lead up to some of our hottest summers.
  15. Makes you wonder why he'd even want to live in Rockland County lol. Sounds like someone who should be living in Miami.
  16. Looks like Boston will finally pull ahead of NYC in snowfall. I knew a 0.2" lead was way too fragile to hold.
  17. Isn't that supposed to be a "Woot Woot"? Or is 7 flakes not enough for the second "Woot"? ;-)
  18. Better to have a snowy February.
  19. Don what makes you think that there's very little chance of something like April 2003 happening this year? I dont think at this time in 2003 we thought that something like that would happen either. Sometimes we get a surprise snow even in the middle of a mild pattern and those things can't be forecast more than 24-48 hours in advance.
  20. Andy Pettitte pitched through a snowy Yankee home opener in what would be my favorite game and season of all time.
  21. I loved that storm! JFK got about 5 inches and near blizzard conditions out by the Hamptons and over a foot of snow (16") in Suffolk County. Andy
  22. That might be the only time we've had snow on Christmas Eve and St Patrick's Day
