  1. This is a thread the needle pattern isn't it
  2. That's a huge gradient from 32 inches of snow in the weenie to 8 inches just south of the weenie.
  3. That does look like a weenie pointed at new england as usual (or PA depending on how you look at it)
  4. So now we are rooting for the SE Ridge lol
  5. We'll all have 20s for lows by the end of the week-- so not long to go for that hard freeze.
  6. for NYC and the local airports too? JFK beat their record number of 70 degree highs in November already! Half of the first 12 days were over 70 and we had our latest ever 80!
  7. Those were katydids? I thought they were birds lol
  8. 11/15 is their latest on record? This will beat that record. I thought 2001-2002 had our latest first freeze and our earliest last freeze? What a (non) winter that was!
  9. Either way we all will have a hard freeze by the time the week is finished, the low is projected to be in the 20s Thursday night/Friday morning!
  10. That record could be broken today then!
  11. Looks like a big turnaround of the pattern....caused by Nicole?
  12. Wow Newark and New Haven! How does New Haven get warmer than all the NYC airports and NYC when they are to our north and east and on the Sound?
  13. Don how close are NYC and JFK to most 70 degree highs in November?
  14. Dont mind the 70s as long as it is dry....just no more of these tropical systems
  15. yeah this is why I hate tropical weather, it makes me extremely sick
  16. get this tropical crap out of here-- warm and dry is fine
  17. Good riddance I'm looking forward to the sun and this tropical crap leaving.
  18. I'll be so glad to see tropical season end. These systems should not be getting this far north anymore. I was sick all of last night with damn allergies and headaches. My nose looks like Rudolph's. I wish we had weather control already and were able to steer all this stuff offshore.
  19. Which model is predicting that kind of snow? For around 2,000 ft in the Lake Harmony area.
  20. Forecast for the Poconos for next week is for 5-8" inches of snow....weird.
