  1. November 15, 1993 may have been warmer in the city (and 8 days later to boot) it hit 80 there....today is definitely hotter for Long Island.
  2. Well then JFK must have hit 80 lol. There is zero sea anything today. In July today would be over 100 right to the coast.
  3. JFK better hit 80 or I'll be extremely angry. I see they got stuck at 79 but the new reading didn't come in? Would this be their latest 80 ever?
  4. JFK hit 70 yesterday so did we on the south shore of Nassau
  5. The Nov 1-7 period will likely come out a lot warmer than that
  6. It only hit 70 at JFK yesterday-- today will likely be half a dozen degrees warmer or more
  7. I was sad to see the lead runner in the NYC marathon collapse at mile 21
  8. Yeah and TWC retired the name Jonas lol
  9. That was my major problem with it, I hate night time heavy snows.
  10. THE GOAT THE BABE RUTH OF SNOWSTORMS !!!!
  11. First 32 for NYC and the entire area next week?
  12. all time for the month? I want it to hit 80 to match November 15 1993
  13. The cold for next week is crazy and such a shock to the system. Think the whole area finally goes below freezing next week, Chris?
  14. That 80 on November 15th 1993 was so amazing. I wonder what the 850 temps were on that day and what the weather map looked like. 1993 was overall one of our hottest summers too. And the following winter was a full 180 degree flip lol.
  15. Looks like Monday November 7th will be the warmest day and we could hit 80 degrees!
  16. That wind is what I remember most. It felt like being at the north pole for a day!
  17. Hit 72 at JFK and 73 at Newark. I'm hoping we hit 80 this weekend!
  18. But at least they have stated these aren't meant to be used to predict the weather, it's for use by the energy markets.
  19. Wow, that sounds comical lol. That was such a short lived period of cold too, I bet by the time he got all the winter gear off the arctic air had already started to leave.
  20. I like mild Novembers like this because they often mean things trend the other way in December.
  21. We're likely going to have a big sea wall built to prevent this kind of damage from happening again. Trillion dollar project.
  22. gusts were pretty uniform through the area.... 85-90 mph, highest gust recorded was 96 mph
  23. since 2013 here. The early sea breeze sucks, all it does it make things worse with higher humidity without the joy of 100 degree heat.
  24. Lost it at 6:30 pm just as it was about to make landfall. It came back at 7:30 pm the next day-- my longest power outage here ever.
  25. Don if this lasts long enough maybe we can compare it to the amazing heat of November 14-15 1993 which also occurred right around the marathon
