The one thing about LWX that I cannot understand is they will hand out SVRs and winter products like candy during marginal events, but are super stingy on heat products.

Saw the Minotaur IV launch in Chincoteague yesterday. 10/10 would watch again.

Go east of SD and it gets hot fast. During summer El Centro gets into the low 100s regularly.

Tony and I think Chris Martz were going around about BWI having some rogue sidewalk that was setting everything off too warm. I'm not sure if it was really or not but it seemed a bit silly. It was almost a daily thing when other sites were within a degree or two of BWI.

Last year he was frothing at BWI.

The 15:05 ob has 90°. The raw ob has a temp of 32° which would definitely mean it hit 90 then, right? The other obs were 31.

6HR MaxT is 89° for DCA.

DCA reporting 90° on the 5min obs. Should hit the low 90s here shortly.

From the 11th to 18th I'm in Chinocteague. Only week off I'll have this year. Have been working 6 day weeks since January.

2008/2012 derecho had the ridge focused over Kentucky. We're close.

If/when 98L gets named, we could see TS Watches all the way up to LI.

GEFS and EPS really swining for the fences as well. Canadian even pumps like a 594 dm ridge. Big EML / derecho favorable pattern.

86 at DCA as of 2:40 pm despite the river wind. I think we can do it.

12z Euro / EPS have a 594 / 597 dm ridge building in from TX to Bermuda starting around HR 240.
