  1. Over/under on TORs today? I say 5.
  2. Trick or Treating won't be impacted if society weren't a bunch of snowflakes that cancel at the first cloud.
  3. It's buried in a disorganized website that needs a UI overhaul.
  4. Millersville University runs their tweaked in house WRF and it's a nice alternative for us here http://www.atmos.millersville.edu/~wrf/wrf.php
  5. It appears the NAM and Euro have been showing the line working east of I-81 after 00z for several consecutive runs.
  6. It's going to be very close. Best option is either a 2 hours delay or have this thing blast through at 4 or 5 pm
  7. 00z CAMS yield Significant Tornado Parameter (STP) of 2 - 5 in advance of the line and generally clear us out of junk precip. In fact, the CAMS try to really clear us out and get some quick sun in from 3 - 5 pm. It's going to be an active weather day tomorrow for sure.
  8. IMO, tomorrow is a QLCS tornado kind of day. Wouldn't surprise me to see a D1 ENH and a red box or two go out.
  9. BWI: 18" DCA: 10" IAD: 18" RIC: 10" Tiebreaker SBY: 8"
  10. There goes the flip to the west winds at DCA and suddenly the record is smashed. Lets juts go for 100 while we're at it.....
  11. IAD and BWI already broke their records. DCA probably will struggle because of the asinine ASOS placement.
  12. Try US 219 from Somerset to Grantsville. Always a nice ride with decent color.
  13. New CPC outlook through the end of 2019 is a torch and BN precip.
  14. I'm giving it until Dec 31. If we don't have at least 1 warning event or one on the horizon then I'm out. It would be nice to get a soaking 1" - 3" of rain regionwide in the next week to 10 days. We can still recover the foliage season or at least part of it if we can tilt back to a wetter regime.
  15. CPC outlook through November is a torch. We're heading towards another unbearable winter it seems.
  16. So what you're saying is that it's going to be an amazing winter?
  17. Hope we get some rain fast, otherwise it's going to be a quick leaf drop. Lots of trees look stressed.
  18. My garden is shot too, just the pumpkins, beets and collards are left.
  19. Nino and blocking are key here, especially south of I-66.
  20. Judah Cohen is about as useful and reliable as JB and DT.
  21. Some purists say a 3:1 during the start and end of the season for the higher sugar content, then taper to a 4:1 during the "normal" summer. I have kept a little harem of birds around for 2 years with my 3:1 ratio.
  22. Ditto on the Lantana and Milkweed recommendation. Also, put a hummingbird feeder on a pole there with a 3:1 (water:sugar) ratio and you'll have some great bird action all summer and into mid autumn.
  23. It's amazing how terrible US media is. They hype things up with trash articles like this and then wonder why no one takes them seriously.
