  1. You can exactly where the snow is coming down at a decent clip from the surface temps.
  2. Legit coating of snow on grass, cars, trees, and non-paved surfaces in Reisterstown.
  3. The 4 inch soil temperatures on the mesonet data are showing some impressive cooling. Many of these sites were better than 50° at this time yesterday.
  4. Camp David ASOS just went "indefinite sky" with 0.5 mile visibility. Probably snowing pretty good up there.
  5. Fort Ritchie. There's decent scenery and a place for lunch up there now I believe.

  7. Snow depth sensors for the Mason Dixon mesonet sites are now turned on for the season. Maps available here: mesonet.umd.edu NOTE: It's a new feature so any feedback is appreciated.
  8. Petersburg, WV gusted to 50 mph. Per radar and surface observations there appears to be two lines, one near Hagerstown, but the surface front is lagging a bit an just now approaching the I-81 corridor.
  9. Frostburg mesonet site gusted to 38 mph. Temp falling pretty quick out there.

  11. Almost looks like the dump of polar air is more robust and tries to squash everything.
  12. Mesonet data show 4" soil temperatures arounds 50-55 degrees. Going to be interesting to see how much this cold push cools the soils off.
