Earliest measurable Snowfall as far as Valleys below 2000 ft In Lee and Wise County I can remember was October 13, 1977. Off and on Rain and snow showers occurred through late Afternoon. In Pennington gap they would begin as a mix and quickly turn to all Snow. Dustings would occur. In Big Stone Gap the Snow would mount up to about a half inch on the Grass, melt and repeat. 1-3" was observed above 2500 ft.- 689 replies

Currently 41 here. So far just off and on very light rain here as heavier showers are weakening fast just after crossing the Ky/VA line into Lee County. Went to Walmart just north of Jonesville near Stone mountain earlier and there were puddles in on the roads and lot. I'd venture to say Wise is getting in on some frozen up there with Temp in 30's. Snow showers definitely going to make it lower than forecast. Probably some accs up to an inch or two on more susceptible surfaces on big black MTN and High Knob by Dawn.- 689 replies

Exactly . Everything is conspiracy theories to many. Climate change is obvious. You must have missed my point in the above post you reacted to.

Many apparently don't think there's such things as Conspiracies. Those are the one's that can easily be controlled or get the wool pulled over their Eyes. Much of the reason is political. If Satan took over their Party they'd blind themselves to it and go right along with him.

Yes, the point is the mainstream media for a couple days wouldn't report nearly the scope or magnitude of the Catastrophe. I noticed today they finally came around and mentioned some were saying biblical in definition.- 689 replies

This is a much worse situation than the Commie and Soros controlled Media have been reporting. Folks need to open their Eyes to what's going on. Our Government is hijacked. As far as the main thing this post represents however, is the times we're living in and the need for People to turn to The Lord in repentance and become part of The Body of Christ. Thanks for posting Mathew- 689 replies

Alot of wind damage here. Numerous tree's down, electrical outages. Large trees were uprooted on and around my Property. Next door neighbor had a large 3 ft dia tree fall onto their house. It came through the ceiling into their Kitchen. Thankfully they were in another room. A Storage building was crushed at my neighbor's on the other side of my home. Large limbs and a medium sized Walnut Tree was downed in my back Lawn. Flooding occured as well although, fortunately not severe as much of the intense Rain bands missed the County. A general 5 day Total of 6-9 inches County avg..- 689 replies

In many cases the Models have underestimated intensity upon landfall. That's when we'll have a better idea of whether the track will be further east or not. As you alluded to, the stronger, the more it'll resist the pull .

Good valid points. I agree with Snowgoose in that the stronger Helene is the more East She will trek as the ULL will have a tougher time pulling her around it.

Yep. JB was the one. There is some statistics showing a greater likelihood. DT also used the Soil Saturation as a Tool in respect to influence in Patterns. -
That is through Monday.?. That is too low on Totals across Central/ ETN/SWVA . That looks more like a Total's Map through Friday for these area's.

You can extrapolate to how much more is probable from Helene's remnants. Also, IF some guidance is correct in Helene reaching middle Tn then turning back ENE you can bet some eye popping Totals will be the case once all is said and done. Some serious flooding even in the Great Valley is looking more and more likely.- 689 replies

Summer-Fall 2024 Weather Disco Med/Long Range
Daniel Boone replied to John1122's topic in Tennessee Valley
Yeah, sure looks that way. If it takes a more Eastward track as it moves North it could dump enough to cause some issues in the Great Valley. Also, a remote possibility it doesn't keep moving NW as it gets to our Latitude but kind of stalls and washes out . That could result in flooding for the Valley.- 689 replies

Yeah, sure looks that way as of now. Tc's continue to be advertised in the Atlantic Basin. Hopefully, we get lucky with one of those or another unforeseen development occurs in the Gulf at the right time and changes the almost inevitable Drought.
